Oooh - good pics! I must admit that I'd never thought of BHS for tights but those look absolutely fab! I wonder if they're long enough for the legs of a 6'5" wearer though? Love to see them on your missus too!

For large femme shoes/boots, I've found the N Brown/JD Williams mail order group (similar to Littlewoods) to be excellent as they stock the wider fittings (E/EEE width) in sizes up to 9. [I normally take a 10 but, in femme shoes, 10s fall off me - they're too long. After a lot of searching and research, it seems that
in theory womens' shoes are the same length as mens' shoes in the UK, albeit narrower. However, that's not true in the US and seems to cause a lot of confusion on line where american sizes are often quoted, presumably because it's a bigger market. This seems to be an area where there are no international standards to which everyone conforms!]
Anyway, I recently bought a dollop of shoes from their
clearance site at knock-down prices. The trick is to buy sizes around a size lower than your normal and in a variety of widths (wider than normal). Then you try them all and return the ones that don't fit, within the time period allowed. They don't seem to mind that and, being mail order, seem completely set up to do that with the returns form even quoting a returns code for 'bought several sizes to try' (or words to that effect).
