SPLOSH! - The Next 20 Years?

In May this year SPLOSH! celebrates it's 20th birthday. It was in 1989 that the first magazine made its debut before we went on to do videos, DVDs, books, live events, downloads and, of course, this forum. Although the magazine isn't being produced any more (though you can, of course, buy the old ones), we have embraced the internet and slowly the website is becoming what the magazine was in terms of content and character.

But I am not here to show off, but to start a discussion about what we should be doing in the next 20 years...

What would you like to see more of in terms of facilities? For instance, as we have mentioned we are planning to make old material available on download soon. But what else would you like us to offer?

Should we be providing lots of different sites or concentrating on making this one as varied as we can?

In terms of new content, is our mix of some clothed/some raunchy material right or should we join the 'Race to be Rudest' and try to be the first to film a double anal, double vaginal custardy blow-job?

Is our new material okay or is it just a bit dated? Should I disappear and let younger people take over (after all when I started, I saw people my age as old fuddy-duddies who needed a bit of a slap-in-the-face)?

Would you like to see a broader or narrower range of people getting messy? At the moment we encourage everyone of all shapes and sizes to join in, even commercially, but would you rather it was just pretty 18-year-old bimbos?

For me, I would prefer for you to keep to the one site and make the features varied. I get lost sometimes going to the different sites and always return here anyway because it is the best (creep creep!) Sploshing is all about variation anyway, from Messy to Wet, Clothed to Nude, Sweet to Savoury, Mud, Pies, etc etc and that is part of what makes it so good to have it all in once place like on here. I was very pleased when you set the download area up and I personally would certainly like to see you make more video's featuring 'proper' food sploshing like the magazine used to feature. I sometimes get a bit frustrated with the sites that seem to think that Sploshing is just using coloured slime! And you can't beat seeing a woman get a damn good Pieing!

I certainly like the nudity part of Sploshing, but I much prefer to see a woman wearing any type of outfit get well and truly messed up (although the Secretary look or Lingerie does it for me every time!), it is the way the clothes cling and look that is a big part of it for me, as well as how they feel against the skin (my wife and I do Splosh at home) and I don't go in for the explicit stuff really, that for me is not what Sploshing is about.

I hope that this website continues to grow and grow, with more members coming on board (no pun intended!). For the past 12 years Sploshing has been a big part of my life and it will continue to be so!

I reckon just the one site is good. The Splosh brand is certainly worth something, and if the site was bought up to date and organised properly, a good mix of material would find its way to those who are interested. Everyone likes a bit of variety, I'm sure, which would include the women as well as the content.

And whether you carry on or not is up to you, but I'm sure many people would join me in being sad to see you go. Your name carries the same kind of brand-name as Splosh, so even if you handed over moderation of the site or running or whatever magicks are involved in making this happen to someone else, a presence certainly wouldnt hurt.

My view would be stick to what you do, if everyone tries to be the same then there's no reason to pick splosh over any other producer

Oh, and one other question...and it's the old one...is the forum getting too 'commercial'? There are an awful lots of professional sites plugging their stuff these days. Is that good or bad?

For the commercial thing, maybe that could be all pushed over into a separate forum specifically for it, leaving the amateur stuff/chat here.

Very serious post here! Personally I like the variety, sometimes rude, sometimes not - one thing I might suggest though is either making the DL store searchable via the keywords used to describe each video so that it's easy to find what you're looking for amongst the variety.

I also know I'd hate to see you start using models exclusively... using real sploshers is definitely something that improves the material much more than using the "young and attractive" pigeon holed folks. Not that there would be no place for them here either... especially if you choose the variety route.

I don't think I would describe the material as dated, it is very amateur but almost all splosh material is, only a couple of producers seem to be able to throw money at making their stuff with higher production values. There's also no way you should be stepping aside, anyone has the opportunity to set up some competition, but your work has it's fan base for a reason. As Eden just said, you didn't win a big golden penis for nothing!

Of course, though, at the end of the day it's very easy to sit here and say "I like these things", but I'd guess that the best indicator of what you should do would come from the numbers you've got from the downloads already available, people vote with their feet at the end of the day, and there's a way bigger sample size there than the people who are likely to reply to this thread.

Well, I think Splosh produces a nice range of videos, nude, PVC, clothes etc... but they keep being WAM-my, not porny, thats good! So in my opinion you don't have to turn all this what you've build up the past 20 years let go by producing 'populair'-stuff, like more sex and younger slutty models.

Splosh, Bill, Hayley, and some other names here, are not just names anymore, but a notion, a concept. This place is informal, UK-ish, almost non-commercial, and free-thinking. Thats what makes this place made, and will make another 20 years I think.

The only thing I like to see improve, but don't know if it's possible, is a larger profile page, with some requested-fields. It probably won't happen, 'cause all the privacy-shit, but I think it's nice to know some other 'daily-life' info behind the screenname

The ECgunge forum tried to move all the commercial posts to a separate forum. All that happened was that the commercial sites stopped posting anything, because no-one would ever see it, and the forum promptly started to suffer with a lack of new material to discuss, resulting in a lot of in-fighting. A shame, because I rather like that forum

-The forum: I agree with what T-34 said. As long as the professionals give pictures, I think thats ok. After all, our porn habits can get expensive and we all appreciate a few free pics. So keep the forum how it is... I love the community here.

-The site: I think the site itself could possibly be updated a little, just to look a bit flashier. Your eyes aren't immediately drawn to the fact that there's a download store, but maybe thats just me.

-The content: Stick to what you're doing. As Jon said, the download figures should tell *you* what is selling, but whether you want to sell films or have a good variety of girls and content is up to you. I don't think sticking to bimbos will get you anywhere, as it doesn't set Splosh! aside. People want chick from bimbos to MILF and everything inbetween, imo. Also, as a visitor to Splosh towers, I wouldn't want to see it get too porny - some hardcore action - yay! But keep it varied. When you add lots of actual action it takes away from the sploshing.

Hi All, as a new comer here I have to say I love the site and dont think it should change too much, I do find it hard to navagate though. I normally end up asking Candy or jon for the URL to specific posts they have mentioned because I can never find them, but that is probably me more than the site its self.

Variety is of course the spice of life and as others have said this would be the way forward that we would like to see.

I love the variety seen on the Splosh site,all ages,sizes,fetishes etc!I think the fact that this is Splosh's 20th year says alot about the greatness of the whole thing,from the mag in the past to the site now.There is such a great community on here,no-one seems judgemental (mental yes ) on here about what each individual is into,if anyone is abmonished on here it's not without good reason ,unlike some other sites that seem to be full of snobs who enjoy putting people down!
