Ahh, Belle De Jour, a classic

...it's probably his most accessible film, but it's probably not my favourite, although being a manure wam fetishist I do have a love for one particular scene. I actually prefer his Mexican films to his later films; his later films are quite cold and detached, whereas his Mexican films and perhaps his earlier Avantgarde films have a youthful energy and vitality and a creativity that is exhilerating...not that his later films aren't great of course...Belle De Jour is very funny, entertaining and tragic, and The Phantom Of Liberty is hilarious!
