I have been to this event. It is held around new year and is VERY VERY COLD. The people who have done it before are the ones wearing wetsuits.

I have great admiration for anyone who attempts it in a pink summer dress.

Frenchie.

Great pics.

Given the level of publicity over this annual event and its 'normalisation' with 'the great British public' getting involved, it could be a good place to position a banner for www.splosh.co.uk - you can't help thinking that those who've bothered to do that would probably look kindly on this place and, hopefully, get involved. It usually gets on the TV and in the papers.

Now there's a thought!

I would be slightly concerned at advertising there though because I believe children are involved. Is that right?

Hmmm. That's probably a fair point. I don't think kids are involved as such - I believe it's a killer of a course even for adults - but I dare say there will be kids around to view the mayhem. Pity really, as the possibility of getting the splosh banner in the background of a 'wacky' pic in a national newspaper or TV would have been a great opportunity to spread the word.
