I find the Daily Express to be the worst of all UK newspapers. Even worse than the Daily Sport and the Daily Mail. My mum read it for years, and it was full of bunkum about immigrants (illegal or legal), Princess Diana, 'decent family values' (from the owner of Red Hot TV channels) and other stuff. It's a Daily Mail wannabe, and that's worse than actually being the Daily Mail!
Mind you, I read the other pages of it today (gotta get my money's worth after the ego boost!), and it was relatively tame. A lot of recycled gumph (how many more times can they tell us how to live longer?).

When Candy asked me to contribute to it, the thought of it being the Express did make me think twice. Mind you, I stipulated that my Tiswas Night gets a plug, and that was very nicely done! Plus I do genuinely feel sorry for the journos working on Richard Desmond titles. Staff morale is low there.

Yep, you're right. Mind you, this will probably be one of the effects of Richard Desmond sacking loads of sub-editors a few weeks back and making all staff write material directly to screen.
