Any chance of a scan for those of us who cannot buy the Express for political reasons and, like Bill, don't want to give any money to Richard Desmond.

I don't like Richard Desmond that much either. I bought a copy 'cos I wrote a bit of it! It's a nice plug for what I do in my hometown, but I disagree with the two descriptions of me! (I wouldn't call myself a 'splosh enthusiast', and I'm not a 'computer equipment supplier', I just work for one!)

It makes Candy all the more intriguing, but I wonder what the journalist's reaction would have been had there been hot water problems during the clean-up process!

So, with my hatred of Desmond, here's a scan...

Re the politics, I can't remember ever purchasing a copy of the 'express' before today but I don't really care what its politics are, they won't affect my views anyway!

I thought it was a good article with a positive attitude towards sploshing and could well recruit new people to our ranks. Only one small complaint; haven't they got the caption for the main picture the wrong way round? To me it looks like Candy doing the sploshing of the reporter rather than as printed.

Pretty good article and not a word of cancer inducing pies or illegal immigrants :) Your fame is spreading!

I find the Daily Express to be the worst of all UK newspapers. Even worse than the Daily Sport and the Daily Mail. My mum read it for years, and it was full of bunkum about immigrants (illegal or legal), Princess Diana, 'decent family values' (from the owner of Red Hot TV channels) and other stuff. It's a Daily Mail wannabe, and that's worse than actually being the Daily Mail!

Mind you, I read the other pages of it today (gotta get my money's worth after the ego boost!), and it was relatively tame. A lot of recycled gumph (how many more times can they tell us how to live longer?).

When Candy asked me to contribute to it, the thought of it being the Express did make me think twice. Mind you, I stipulated that my Tiswas Night gets a plug, and that was very nicely done! Plus I do genuinely feel sorry for the journos working on Richard Desmond titles. Staff morale is low there.

Yep, you're right. Mind you, this will probably be one of the effects of Richard Desmond sacking loads of sub-editors a few weeks back and making all staff write material directly to screen.

Nice article Candy and your piccy looks great!

As expected the editorial is a rather tame version of our kind of sploshing, but I guess dildos, bondage gear and custard covered cocks and fannies would be a tad too far for a daily paper!

Maybe well get some new members!
