Don't know if this has been covered before, but what would people say is the best supermarket or shop for getting WAM items from? Either value for money, or quality. Also what would people suggest for new things to use.

I think Tesco seems to be the cheapest at the minute for custard and the likes, but can never find anything decent to make a good pie, any tips. A bargain shop next to me at the minute has big catering size tins of spagheti hoops for 39p, so stocking up lol.

I can safely say no store in Canada in wam friendly. Sorry Canadians, but go to the UK, we rule.

We tend to use a combo of Tesco and Asda, whichever is most convenient as we dont drive. Tesco custard is good (also tastes good) and Asda is always cheap.

For fun in the shower I reccoment the tesco value line of personal cleanliness products...

Tesco value shower gel - 10p a bottle - not bad.

Tesco value conditioner - 27p a bottle - great fun.

I usually buy 2 of each when I get shopping and save them up until I've got loads.

I've used a dozen bottle to fill balloons before and had great fun, and of course clean up it very easy as by it's very nature it leave you clean and all washes away nicely.

I seem to live in asda for WAM supplies, and find them absolutely fine...some things are not ideal but theres ways and means to make them better yourself with flour and mixing various things. I have my own concoctions for custard, chocolate batter, choc sauce, allsorts lol

geordie boy... no idea what you want your pies to be like but ive used just about everything lol flan cases filled with all manner of things... but you cant beat custard topped with cream...... also use the shortcrust pastry bases and fill them with whatever...from thick angel delight mixture, to cake batter, custard, - have done the same with strong paper plates too!
