Sorry for the off-topic subject, but I thought it deserved a mention :D

Was I the only one lying on the floor gently weeping during the last lap? Still, one hell of a driver and well deserved I reckon

It was an amazing race especially the last two laps!

After moaning about their ad breaks for 12 years, I must congratulate ITV's commentary team for calling that last lap perfectly. It would have been extremely difficult to spot that Hamilton had overtaken Glock in the midst of the Ferrari celebrations, but they got it exactly right, an excellent piece of work.

I know some people don't like Hamilton and I can't say I approve of the move to Switzerland, but he is obviously amazingly good.

As I was watching all the drama unfold I thought 'here we go again'. another British sportsman coming second yet again. But pit stops for change of tyres and re-fuelling have made formula 1 much more interesting.
And remember if Hamilton had not had so many dodgy stewards decisions go against him this year, he probably would have had the title won 2 races ago. So i think it is well deserved.
Much more deserved than the £20million for that abortion of a cricket match the other night!

As Martin Brundle pointed out to Bernie Eccleston it is amazing that 28 of the 50-plus F1 championships have gone down to the wire - helped in no small part by stewards decisions! Also the FIA is extremely fond of Ferrari and the team's announcement that they 'might pull out of F1' cos they don't like the new rules will guarantee a few more decisions in their favour!

FIA = Ferrari International Assistance. Still, it made seeing them realise they hadn't actually won even better!

Did anyone else notice Glock hitch up a caravan and then park it again sometime during the last lap?
Who cares. Hamilton is a brilliant driver and always takes the time to share the credit with those that have helped him to make it .
F1 is at last a spectator sport again and the UK has a world champion and not just another `plucky Brit`who is a spectator after the first round.

I thought that too but the only other guy on dry tyres at this point was even slower than Glock who says he was too busy concentrating on keeping on the track to notice who was behind him. Not saying I believe it, just stating the defence.

I have to admit I was jumping up and down in front of the telly, then 2 corners to go. I coudn't help but laugh at the pitman in the Ferrari garage telling them they where not world champion.

Also did anybody else notice the fire at the end in one of the cars, and how nobody seemed bothered.

Though I think Miss T, summed it.

regards

Andy

Ahh yes, but what a lot of people seem to be missing is that Glock was close to costing Hamilton the championship, not Vettel. Glock took the risk in staying out on drys and it almost worked for him. If he had changed tyres like most others, Hamilton would have been 4th two laps out and the Vettel overtake wouldn't have mattered. If he wanted to gift it to Hamilton then all he had to do was change tyres like everyone else. I think it was genuine and Glock's gamble almost paid off.

Thrilling end of the season although, I agree, partly manufactured by the Belgium debacle. I think Massa has proven himself the best Ferrari driver, Hamilton is obviously brilliant (as shown by his Top Gear lap), and Alonso is doing wonders in a Renault. All looking good for next season AND no bloody adverts. Hurrah!!

See, I thought that Glock was being nice at first by letting Lewis past him. Just my innocent view I guess!

Still, Hamilton did deserve it. He hasnt won all of his points by flukes. Well done!!!
