About eight years ago there was an article in The Observer newspaper (no, not the Bexhill Observer) by Jonathan Margoulis about whether sploshing was 'art' or not. Needless to say they contacted Brian Sewell and sent him a copy of Splosh! for a review. He called it a "wretched little magazine" and certainly nothing to do with real art. Quite proud of being slagged of by the little tit.

I hate art critics (anyone remember the French and Saunders sketch? Dawn French throws paint on herself, fyi.) Seeing as art is technically something produced for its own sake, unless you happen to be a mind reader and can say you knew the creators intentions, you're a wanker to say whether something is art or not.

Hence why I put 'arty'

Loving the thread so far, I'll have to "surf the net" to see if I can find any more 'art'.

Probably the closest i ever got to "arty" wam pics was when Cede and I did this shoot It was very colourful and finished up in the deep mud
