Which is also known as Natrasol. Can be bought from various online stores and from phantasia leisure on Ebay.

Yup - Natrosol is fun, and is now available in small quantities - it's really just a food thickener in powder form, so you can imagine the slime you'll get simply by adding water and food colouring to it.

Does anyone know where to source methyl-cellulose in similarly reasonable (i.e. non-industrial) quantities? The Japanese seem to love it, and I'm guessing it's at least partially the basis of the 'instant bath water to slime' kits they sell (which work pretty well).

Wow, I wasn't aware there was such a difference between Natrasol and Methylcellulose. I've got some Nat but haven't tried it yet but I've got loads of Methyl but have only ever used small quantities.

Looking around the interweb, I found the following link:

http://www.conservation-by-design.co.uk ... ies22.html

Looks like the right stuff, is non-hazardous (apparantly, and a pre-requisite for us!), and the viscosity is entirely temperature controlled. I've tried to place a small order to see if it'll get through.

Available by the kilo. Which based on previous experience means that's enough for about 50 litres! For less than £20+ P&P
