One-wear clothes?

Do people here generally regard their 'WAMing' clothes as disposable?

Do you normally wear brand new cheap stuff, 'WAM it up' and then toss it in the trash, maybe after ripping it up?

I like to put on new, cheap, sportswear, sweat in it, then mess it up totally, rip it apart so that it can't possibly be worn again and throw it away. Sometimes I destroy a complete kit, including the trainers, after one wear.

I've always been a bit of a hoarder, so I don't like to waste really good clothing. So whatever I wear, it's with a view that it may not survive. If I'm ok with that, it's on with the wam! But thankfully, most items make it through the wash and are ready to fight another day.

Plus there's something amusing about wearing something in public that I know has been covered in all sorts

We generally either use clothes that Her Outdoors no longer considers this week's fashion or buy in cheap 'costumes' from Ebay and charity shops. Nothng generally survives, though Hay has had some very resilliant satin blouses.

I am a hoarder too so most of my sploshing stuff has been worn before and is either long out of fashion or a bit tight fitting due to good living and alcohol consumption. Whether it gets trashed or not varies depending on what is done during the session. Nothing survived my recent session with Gilly as I had specified that everything should be ripped or cut to pieces.

On the other hand I have a silk shirt that seems to defy destruction and has been through two sessions at SploshAgirl and a few at home. Each time it comes through the wash as good as before.

Most of my wam clothes are bought from charity shops or high street shop sales.
I never exect them to survive but if they do i wam them a second time with gunge more likely to destroy it and if that doesnt work i get out the scissors :)
I often wam my own clothes too and dont expect them to survive, giving me a great excuse to buy new clothes :) :) :)

Messy hugs from :P Sophie :P xxx

I only ever use new, or newish, clothes (sometime from charity shops and also from Primark) as the fun of getting washed and dressed ready to get messy is the best part.

It depends what substance is being used really. I will wear any of my clothes if a wetlook scenario is about to happen. Other than that, I do have a few clothes that are specifically to get messy in.

I generally buy my sploshing clothes with sploshing in mind. But I do find most clothes will wash once quite easily. Although I will usually wash then in the shower while i get clean and then put them through the washing machine.

The sales and ebay are a great source of clothes.

I try to avoid substances that will not wash out of my clothes. Kinda more fun knowing that what I'm wearing has been used for a splosh/mudlark session. i also avoid light colored clothes as they are much harder to clean especially if I used beans or tomato based products. And with working in the food industry, having a small stain here or there on something dosen't raise any questions.

I rarely bother to even try to wash stuff I've WAMed. I generally wear clothes I want to get rid of anyway, WAMing is one step in destroying them, then I cut or rip them off and throw the rags away.

I do like one-wear clothes. Sometimes I'll put on a new T-shirt and shorts and when I'm done with them, I'll WAM them and then trash them.

I tend to get messy wearing lycra or at least polyester-like stuff.

That sort of stuff washes really easily and goes on forever plus I think it feels better.
