Ann Margret and those beans philosophy

No matter what my all time favorite messy scene is with Ann Margret in Tommy. I know everyone here has seen it. I love watching female WAM but it always comes back to Ann Margret. After seeing her in that I became a huge fan of all her work but I was wondering why i'm pretty much obsessed with her Tommy scene. I finally think I understand. Ann Margret at that time was the picture of glamor and beauty. She is a very polite, proper, shy and sweet person. I think that seeing her totally let go of herself and just pull off the most erotic scenes of all time with the pillow humping and rolling in all that mess feeling herself up is totally out of character. Seeing how she really is in interviews, shows and other rolls then coming back to this scene makes it better every time and never gets boring. I once dated a girl who was very prudish and it was my fantasy to see her pull an Ann Margret but it never happened. Bottom line. The more "proper" the person seems will just enhance them in a messy situation. Opinions?

I would love to shoot my own version of this scene someday.

Have you seen the section about this scene in the DVD extras of Tommy? I think it's lurking about on Wambank somewhere and goes into detail about the filming of the scene and the thinking behind it.

Anne Margaret was actually cut up pretty badly and hospitalised during filming because the glass from the telly screen that the beans pour out of got mixed in with the orange stuff as she began rolling around - surprisingly this didn't occur to anyone in advance.

Love the idea of a cement-truck full of beans pouring out though - if only cost and clean-up weren't an issue!
