Great pics ! Love the outfit too, makes them all the more interesting seeing you change from that pristine all white outfit to..... a thick black mud covered one !

LOL! Whew, that's OK then. This certainly looked muddy, proper Yorkshire riverbank clay. Great fun to play with, Wendy had a great time and after we'd finished the shoot and I'd put the camera safely away I jumped back in for a wallow, much to her amusement!

Would love to take some people down to the Medway some time, was there in connection with a music event a few years ago, wonderfully creamy clay, and heading out towards the Isle of Grain, dark as sin!

I believe that Stonecastle is not a mud fan - so it would need to be his eternal favourites (clotted cream, blancmange [note the correct spelling], whipped cream, angel delight, dream topping and chocolate mousse) all duly dyed black. Whatever happened to custard? I recall him banging on about real custard's ingredients and how it should be made.

In my experience, black mud is the result of the decay of its vegetable matter content, and can be a bit 'organic', besides being downright malodourous - that is to say it stinks like a gorilla fart!

I'm not happy inflicting that on an otherwise willing model, potentially scantily-clad, nor having her immersing her bits in it for fear of the risk of infection (yes, it happened once), unless that is what she specifically wants to do - 'volenti non fit injuria'.

The lighter 'Rob Blaine' type of mud is the run-off from quarrying operations, and is usually much fresher and cleaner.

If anyone else wants really light mud, I'd like to hear from our Cornwall-based members about tailngs ponds from china-clay quarries, as I'd love to do a shoot in that almost albino slurry. Anyone got any details, any of you girls up for it?

You can get darker clays, though even those do tend to have a bit of an odur. Agree with you about china clay though - I'd love to see some fully clothed people going for a paddle in that! Though it's not really "mud", more a unique (and very nice) sploshing substance of it's own.

Maybe worth a venture down to clay country. But first i need to walk funny!

in actual fact the pix were taken at konyer in essex some years ago ,and that particuler mud was odour free. barbara.

As u all know i LUV mud but i never heard of "Konyer" an i live in Essex

Can u tell where it is exactly that mud looks good
