OK, has to be asked - what style/height heels were they? :)

Sorry to hear about your accident, get well soon!

Long way to fall!

I have a pair of platform boots with a one inch platform and about four-and-a-half inch heel which I wear for 70s nights and really need stabilisers for! Also some three inch all over platforms which are comfortable as hell. They will be out on Fri night for a punk/glam night at the pub. God knows what Her Outdoors is bringing.

Get well soon. Did you have to go to A&E in drag?

Oh dear! ....which is one of the main reasons they went out of fashion again in the 1970s, almost as fast as they came in. (I remember the NHS complaining that the number of broken ankles had reached epidemic proportions at one point!)

Get well soon, Bea.

As a regular heel and platform wearer I have so far avoided any plummeting from them. Touch wood (oooh, very nice, sir).

Am I alone in wanting to see the offending footwear?

Perhaps they should be trashed as punishment...

I certainly want to see them.

Beatrice - That is a lovely outfit and sorry to hear you broke your foot. Hope you are not out fo commission for too long; guess you can just make more gunge while recovering and planning your next splosh session.

Wow - that really is quite a platform isn't it?! I can see why they are so unstable. Fortunately, with my height, the very last thing I need are platforms - I really want flatties (though they're not as much 'fun' as heels (though a lot more comfortable)!)
