I have a friend who is also a Fashion Student, her show is about WAM . . . I have copied and pasted this from another forum to try and get the most exposure I can for her . . . she is so very busy I said I would post this for her here so please excuse that I have done this on her behalf.

It would be really great if you could offer some opinions and comment. Obviously I have given my thoughts but she was keen to ask a few more people to give an overall feeling !

My take:

Being gunged is just a really, really nice feeling, as well as very kinky. There's something about the sensation of feeling your clothes filling up with a flowing liquid, or sinking into mud, or even just wading into water, that is completely outside of the normal field of experience for most people, and is both an amazing feeling, and an amazing turn-on.

WAM works on different levels. Some people simply love the feeling of substances around their body, whilst others (like myself) see it as rebellious (the antithesis of the way society tells us to behave), yet safe, but either way its relatively cheap to practise. It combines sensuality with stupidity, whilst deflating the pomposity, and is therefore a great way to relax. particularly with a partner. It sits easily alongside (and simultaneously with) other fetishes (such as BDSM), and can be varied in approach from the sublime to the ridiculous, as budgets and feelings allow. Oh - and at least as practised in the UK - its humorous too. Not a bad combination all round.

But unlike BDSM, in sploshing the roles can change all the time. There is no one dom and no one sub, you can swap over tit-for-tat style if you like - which is frankly far more PC!

Also the submission involved is not a submission to pain or mind games but purely to being made a mess - a lot healthier! Mind you in this appearance-fixated world there are some people even now who can't let go of their self image enough to let themselves get sploshed. They should. It's very therapeutic!
