Excellent. The use of the word sploshing featured quite heavily so, hopefully, those googling it will end up here. (Pity she completely missed with that bucket of custard though! LoL.)

Didn't realise that it was Mouse.

Mouse was the one in stripey stockings; the announcer guy said so and it certainly looked like her; I didn't catch who the other one was though, something like 'Lara' I think.

This was from a show Bill did called Britain's Wildest on Sky (a title eventually won by Lee - the girl who sploshes him in the Free House). They may not have edited out the presenter (one Mark Walker, son of Roy, who Bill assures me was rubbish) but they did edit out Bill. Just prior to that he did an interview, so be grateful for small mercies.

PS The small paddling pools were totally inadequate, Bill tells me, and Mouse and Lava wrecked the set! Told them half an hour to clean it up ready for the next item.

Yes, this was one of the better television shoots I've been on.

It was filmed at Teddington Studios (the old home of Thames TV, Benny Hill and Magpie) and took all day. Mouse and Lava got given a dressing room and lots of booze, and I was in the green room with (amongst others) Lee (the huge breasted black girl who eventually won the series), a bull semen expert and a man who had done some rather scary piercings! We were fed and watered regularly and spent a lot of the time mocked Mark Walker (the host) cos he was so awful. I'd taken a few mags with me - so everyone has something to read!

Mouse being the manic miss she is refused to do the act in the slow way they expected - hence gunge going everywhere. The producers loved it though. Afterwards Sky very kindly put us up in the hotel near the studio which contains the sports ground and park where they used to film Benny Hill's outdoor scenes. Happy to say that after a few drinks, Mouse and I celebrated by chasing each other Benny-style round the very trees he used to chase Hill's Angels (or them chase him). The businessmen who normally frequent the hotel thought we were mad.

Lee came back next day to strip off at London landmarks, and became a splosher soon after (when she is in the area). Mouse and Lava got given a cab back the night before which must have been an interesting drive for the cabby as they were full of vodka!

So, slightly off topic, but has there been splosh/wam on UK television where Bill hasn't been involved? (Obviously in a more factual sense - I'm assuming that since there was an interview somewhat attached to the piece when it aired it was about the "scene")

Thankfully yes.

There are various items of some of our American colleagues including the series currently running on Virgin 1 (Sex-somethingorother!). And I wasn't on The Graham Norton Show! I just organised it!

As far as I know, that is it.

I don't have satellite so there may be dozens of appearances by other companies which I never see. In fact, I hadn't seen this one till now. I generally find out they are on by the greengrocer or one of the guys in the post office taking the piss out of it!

Can I say that although I am proud people ask us to do these things and genuinely enjoy the 'sofa shows' (the interviews in studios as opposed to setting up events for the crews to film), this isn't about ego or self publicity. Initially sploshing was unheard of in the mainstream and I saw it as part of my job to get it out there so people felt okay about liking it. That is less true now but nonetheless when a non-judgmental show comes along (we have turned down loads of 'piss-taking' ones) we do it even though it is often hard work for not a lot of reward. Not saying I am a saint or anything, just that I don't do it to see myself on TV. In fact, not only do I not have Sky but if they send me a DVD I never watch it.
