For those of you who don't want to pay a monthly membership fee to access UKWam.com, you can now purchase clips on a pay-per-download basis, so you only buy the clips that you want to see.

Members (who subscribe to the site) will always get content before anyone else, so it is always beneficial to join the site as a member. Any members can also ask for videos to be sent to them on DVD free of charge, instead of paying £1.35 extra.

Sorry to be a bore but strictly speaking it is illegal to sell (or give away) download material on DVD as it has not been passed by the BBFC. The BBFC have no jurisdiction over downloads themselves but as soon as they are put onto DVD they do, and you run the risk of being fined (and, more annoyingly everything confiscated for a long while whilst they investigate).

Just a friendly warning, and if you continue to offer DVDs please don't advertise them here.

Well, I dare say the BBFC would claim that even a custom shoot counts as a film that should be classified BUT that it is unlikely they would do you for that. The big difference is when you advertise a film for sale (or to give away) on DVD to the public (as opposed to giving it to the individual who commissioned it). Then it becomes merchandise and you are "offering to supply" recorded material and that HAS to be passed by the BBFC.

Sad but true. You can send it abroad though!

haha omg that is actually really sad.

I really want to get into selling DVD's, so I'll have to get in contact with the BBFC.

Do you have any information on how to go about it Bill? May be best to send me information in a PM

Thanks

Sorry, the real world is tough.

The BBFC not only insist all DVDs are passed by them, they also charge about £10 per recorded minute for the privillege (so a one hour DVD costs £600). That is why there aren't any rich UK WAM companies - and why everyone turned to downloads (which I reiterate don't require BBFC classification).

I suggest you Google the British Board of Film Classification and take it from there.
