Hello... and Splosh event bristol 17th may - help with goo?

Hello... I'm feeling a little guilty now as I'm not really a splosh fanatic... so something of an imposter... but I help run a Tgirl night in Bristol and our next theme includes *** splosh! *** ... yay!

So I'm after some help and advice in creating the longest-lasting gooey goo-ness of goosville... buckets of sloppy stuff that will go on for ever.
We're gonna have beans, custard, cream, gravy etc which will all be on a table in a skool dinners fashion, but then I want to bring out a 'secret weapon' (say 10 buckets of slimey messy ikky ikk) that will just blitz everyone! :D

What can be used to create mass quantity of safe cheap goo? ...not too watery, like a gravy consistency perhaps?

I'm gonna search through the forums here a bit - I'm not totally lazy (well, not all the time) :) but any quick suggestions would be really helpful! thank you!

Hi

We certainly have no problem with that idea. On the contrary, we wish you the best of luck. Lots of people will hve different recipes for a general purpose 'gunge'. The Natrasol that's used on TV is fine and easy to get but very slippery (so check the club's insurance is paid!) and can be made different thicknesses and colours. Don't be tempted to use flour and water based goo. Looks great but is a bastard to get out of hair - wherever it is found on the body.

Have fun, guys!

Hayley

thank you!

Good point re insurance... there is already a big-guys "oil wrestling" night on another night at the club (how Jason Statham is that??? :) )

I think what I'm really after is quantity not quality... cheapest stuff that will fill bucket-loads for peanuts.
But we've got to be able to let people loose with it in a non-controlled environment, so needs to be absolutely safe to swallow or get anywhere 'in' or 'on' the body!
The floor will be an old carpet (trashed afterwards)

Hello

Natrasol as Hayley says is fun and slippery and you can make it by the bucket load easily. It's also pretty cheap. Since it is made of the same stuff they use to thicken shampoo it does you no harm whatsoever. It doesn't taste great but certainly is non-staining and non-toxic. Even the harmless Noel Edmonds used it (not exactly cool but pretty bloody safe). It makes up with water and comes in powder form. As for prices, I am sure our regulars will tell you the cheapest source.

Oh and do send us some pics of the event!

Bill

If you're fun-lovin' and cool with being gunged by Tgirls (CD, trannys, guys dressed as girls!) then you (and anyone else) are more than welcome... but we especially encourage getting into the spirit of the night and dress as a skoolboy/girl!
(note you'll have to become a member, on the night)

Having read through the forums here I'm amazed at how many Tgirls/CD there are into splosh, and used to be a whole forum dedicated (WAMdrogeny) - wow!

The cheapest I could find Natrasol was Ebay at £12.99 for 3 bucket loads - which I'm told would be more expensive than equivelent custard. Is there anywhere cheaper? Or should we just lump it and go for custard :) (yay, I'm a comedian)

I think that wall paper paste is quite cheap and looks good when coloured with powder paint or food colouring but make sure it is the type with no fungicide in as the fungicide is toxic.

Messy night

but one thing is for sure it doesnt beat natrasol. as its alot thicker and defo doesnt look as good, im sure there is a place you can ring up and haggle with the suppliers of natrasol if your buying a serious quantity.

Try Ready Brek and add food colour you can get a big box for just over a £1 at the like of Aldi (own brand) makes great sloppy mess.

For sheer quantity there's nowt better than good old fashioned shaving foam mixed with water, coloured with food colouring or poster paint. You can mix in stuff like oatmeal and the like to give it super icky texture.

Don't bother with the supacheap brands of shaving foam as they're mostly air and will collapse into runny nothing almost immediately - my brand of choice is Asda own (the one that comes in big green cans for about a quid), but there's a brand I think called Sabre (or something - Bill and co use it and you can see me covered in it in my avatar image) which is regarded as the best if you can find it.

Natrasol and the like are great fun, but involve a bit of mixing and as you've found can be a bit pricey. Really what you want for that sort of gunge is an industrial food thickener (that being what natrasol is) and something to colour it with, so going to a chemical supplier and asking about food thickeners is one way to possibly cut a deal.

Good luck with the event - sounds like my kind of party! :)

Believe me Jammed there isnt, and i have tried an tried over the years

The annoying thing about it is it costs a fraction of the price in the States to over here but its termed a foodstuff so have too much hassle inmporting it.
