Just back from the Warrington afternoon and I have to say that I didn’t want to leave yet but duty calls this evening, unfortunately.
What a great meet-up. Those present included:
Wamadeus
Smiley
Andy 250
Jammed
Muckypup
Claymore_wam
I_Like_Pie with his girlfriend. (My memory is telling me it was Claire but my memory isn’t what it was, so apologies if I’ve got that wrong!)
The recommendation from Jammed and Andy is not to try using GPS in the town centre! Despite being only a few hundred yards away, they still had to be guided in by Wamadeus on the phone!
It was great to meet up with everyone again and to meet people for the first time. Claire was relatively new to the concept of sploshing and was eager to hear how, why and where we do it, which produced some highly amusing explanations and information.
Wamadeus wins ‘Pub Quiz moment’ of the meet-up for his information about the composer of Little Donkey (the song, before anyone gets any ideas!) and also ‘tangent of the meet-up award’ for his first-hand information about Ant & Dec’s personal habits that seemed to come out of left field without any warning. (Highly amusing that was too!)
For those who missed it this time, remember that our Warrington meet-ups take place on the 3rd Saturday afternoon of April and October so you’ll have another chance to join in on Sat. 18th October. Put it in your diaries now so you don’t miss out.
Regards,
C_W.

Cheers for organising claymore. Great to meet up with you all, from the famous/infamous to the relatively new with Claire.
For those of you who were there here is confirmation of that top pub quiz knowledge - http://www.christmas-time.com/ct-donkey.htm (I did believe you honest!) and also confirmation of our poor musical knowledge
See you all again soon hopefully.

yeah for the 3 hours we stayed despite crap directions we were only a few hundred metres away. very intresting conversation overall and lots to talk about. there are enough people in the northwest and beyond to make teh warrington meet as well established as the london meet..
I've upgraded to a "Woody Status" could you?

Oh yes - I'd forgotten about that. I can't remember whether they said they were going to try that out or merely that it had one. (Were they on their way there last night? I can't remember now.)

Hey all had a great time on saturday and thanks for making claire so welcome
i think she enjoyed herself and understands the whole thing better now. Not sure what we were supposed to be doing with the wet room but we had a look basically it had a jacuzzi in it and one or two other bits there wasn't really a huge amount of room for a large scale food fight though for about 5-6 people it would be good and yes muckypup it was a good night
and it was nice to meet you and claymore for the first time and catch up with old faces too and a big up to smiley and wammadeus for travelling long distance to come to warrington for the meet

Hi I-L-P ... it was great to meet you and Claire too. It seems it's quite unusual to find someone who is so open to such crazy ideas and it was fantastic that she was really interested and asking lots of useful questions. It sounds like you're in for a fun time at some stage in the not too distant future!
Apologies if we bored you when we were discussing clothing types and dressing up etc!
[Note for Andy:
"Don't mention the tights - I mentioned them once but I think I got away with it!" LoL.] (Those who have never seen Fawlty Towers (and I was recently shocked to discover that there are some) won't understand that statement!)

LoL.
Yes, well it is my other big fetish, along with lycra clothing in general (and Claire had been asking for an explanation of what makes them so good for wamming, after all, so it would have been rude not to respond)!! I'm on various pantyhose e-mail groups (as we have to call them for our cousins over the big pond!) You'd be surprised just how many people are there too (or perhaps you wouldn't) and not just blokes either! (Wayhey!!)
The use of the dessert menu by Jammed was noted. Mind you, the resemblance between Dolly and the two mounds of ice cream was bound to be pointed out by someone sooner or later! (Can't remember whether it was you or someone else.)
It was a good laugh. Looking forward to the next one in October.
