Some very interesting thoughts coming out on this thread.
Re: The body image debate. I have to say that, whilst most of the sites in the US tend to feature younger and skinnier models, I have also seen more mature and 'well built' women too. Despite being about as British as it's possible to be without becoming Stephen Fry, I have to say that my personal preference is for the former(*) (especially if tall & leggy) though I'm pleased for the many here who are far more realistic than I am and are delighted by the latter.
(*) This may have something to do with the fact that I am also tall and (was) skinny (less so these days) and probably now a 'hopeless case' as a result - totally unrealistic I know but I can't help falling for that type every time!
Regarding the other site, Noise makes some interesting points. I have no problem, as a CD, with the idea of labelling a post 'CD' for those who don't want to see it but, at the same time, I'm constantly bemused that people will be on a fetish site and yet intolerant of any fetish other than their own. "My fetish is fine but yours is gross" seems to be the way it works, which is, if nothing else, a little narrow-minded. (Surely an oxymoron when applied to fetishes; hence the puzzlement.) I, too, happen
not to be gay so I like to look at all the lovely ladies but I don't run screaming from the room with an attack of the vapours if I happen to see a bloke's knob. I know what one looks like and, in 2-D form, it's hardly something to be scared of. I'm not particularly bothered about it and don't go searching them out but it's more a case of 'so what' when you encounter one. (I'd certainly be more uncomfortable if it was in person at a real meet-up, mind ... but it isn't.) {Thinks - it's possible that the female members of the forum are delighted when they do stumble across such pics. I don't know - you'll have to ask them. Perhaps more of those might bring in more female wammers ... or perhaps not.}
However, what I and many others object to is not the fact that these people are not sufficiently mature to take that attitude but that they will be hideously aggressive, rude, threatening etc. and basically hound people off the forum there, simply because they happen to be different to them.
In my dictionary, that's called intolerance and I don't see that it's appropriate there (or, indeed, anywhere).
That's what people are objecting to.
Regards,
C_W.
