Next year, i turn 40 and i have persuaded my wife that i would like to have a major messy celebration as part of it. Are there any ideas people might have for it?

Yes do something different like gunge punishment. Get your wife to do something like pretend she is a very angry and strict school teacher and you are one of her pupils who she is going to punish with lots of desserts. Get her to grad you by the hair and shout; "You naughty little boy I am really going to punish you now!" And she first forces your face into a trifle by pulling your head down by your hair. Then she pulls your head up and scoups up a big handful of dessert and slaps it into your face while shouting "take that you naughty boy!".

Thanks Beatrice for the idea of the Gunge Tank, just a couple of questions , first do you know where i might be able to get one and secondly how do i improve it to make it better then NHP Gunge Tank?

we used a shower cubicle as it contains the gunge very well and stops anything you dont want gunged staying clean,

A gunge tank is a bit lame. How about a large paddling pool filled with gunge and you wrestle with your wife in it.

That's quite a good idea... for you, but the gunge tank sounds good too, and there seems to be interest in that from the only person who's opinion actually matters.

Elaine, I think Dolly had a really good idea. I also checked your bio, and I think the idea of a massive cake and pie fight might fill the bill. Or go CD and have your wife hit you with all the pies and cakes.

Seeing as you are in the Sussex area, why not pick the ideas you like and have a word with Bill and see if you can hire the studio to have your messy session and with any luck Bill might (4 a small charge) film it as a souvenier of the day.
