Whether it's alright or not rather depends on the frequency of the adverts and how much of an active part you play in the forum. And other people's views. So we'll see what happens.... As people have said, the balance was about right between commercial and non-commercial, so lets play it by ear.

Yep the pics are indeed very nice with some lovely outfits. :)

I have to admit that I do admire the quality of LeonMoomin's work, photographically (technically) and from a WAM and models point of view (always gorgeous and almost always wearing tights which is even better, for me). [I'd love to know where that deep muddy creek is that features so often.] Incidentally, how come there are no footprints leading up to the position in that second pic? Did she hover? LoL.

I do agree, however, that it would be best not have the forum turn entirely into another UMD, being packed with little else but updates from producers.

Here's a radical idea - why not start a new section just for commercial producers' updates? That way, general chat can go on in this section while anyone who wants to, can see all the latest info from the producers without it intruding into the banter.

I'm sure that Lisa can walk on water if she wants to :D so there's no reason why she can't walk on sloppy mud without leaving footprints  .

I believe that to be on the River Avon near Bristol.

There is a 'smudged' footprint to the left of her foot, just where the shadow of her leg and skirt meet.

I agree that the last but one shot is an absolute cracker. I've been lucky enough to do a stills shoot with Steph, and these photos (and indeed mine) don't do justice to the beauty of this girl. She is stunning IMHO, and I'm hopeful of doing some more shoots, possibly on video, with her in the future.

Those women should have dipped their head in it too.

Another dogmatic, uninformed comment from stoneasshole! ... always couched in the objective, as if statements of fact; never an 'In my opinion ...' or 'I think it would be better ...' or 'I would have preferred it if ...'.
Far less a 'I wonder if they ever ...', not to mention the idea of going to have a look at the site and discovering that many of them do dip their head in it or completely submerge.

Assertiveness, yes - but there are limits, and stoneasshole, you just don't get it, do you?

Back on the subject of the original post, I've no objection to Leon posting promos here as long as there aren't too many of them - but could I suggest using the forum image upload mechanism rather than linking directly to the large pics?

The ones in this thread are so large I have to scroll the forum sideways to read the text in the followups, which makes reading the thread unpleasant. If the images are uploaded in the forum's normal way, you get very good-sized "thumbnails" (they're much bigger than UMD ones, about 400 x 400 I think), and clicking on one opens the full-size version.

Also (and this is just a suggestion - comments from mods most welcome!), perhaps (and this should apply to all commercial producers who update very frequently (IIRC Leon you actually do daily updates?)) no more than one or two advert threads a week (though they can be updated as often as you like)? That way we don't end up with dozens of threads from the same source dominating the place.

Anyway, that's my 3½ p worth!

I'll throw in my 1.5p worth, to make it up to a five p piece!

What about an advertising subforum? If producers would like to peddle their wares, as it was, how about it an offshoot to the main "General Wam Banter" forum?

Back on topic slightly, some great pics there, I especially like the last two :)

Not sure if a sub-forum would be a good idea, becasue it would rapidly fill up with lots and lots of duplicates of UMD posts, and possibly put people off commenting - "if this is the ad forum should I say anything" type thing.

Plus even if they are in a different sub-forum, those posts would still dominate the "show posts since last visit" view, which is the main way most people read a forum like this.

We are certainly going to monitor the number of commercial posts by one organisation, and, oddly, the idea of a separate forum for pro stuff has occurred to us. If we are getting a lot and the balance of this forum is spoiled that is what we'll do. I appreciate a lot of people want to look at pictures from the various producers out there so we wouldn't want to limit them, but we are very keen not to turn this into another place just to sell stuff. I think to separate it would be a shame, but if producers start flooding us with oversized pics that serve no purpose other than promotion (no funny stories about the day, sexy banter etc) then that is what will have to happen.
