REALLY looking forward to it!

I just hope it isn't a let let down after how fantastic "Life On Mars" was!

Gene Hunt rules, but, Sam Tylor was also a big part of the show!

Good night tonight, "The Bill" which has actually been really dramatic the last few weeks, then, "Ashes To Ashes"! Just wondering what David Bowie song will be the title of the next show?

DCI Gene hunt finds himself destitute and demoted and put in charge as a PCSO in tough london housing estate. He educates the ne'er do wells by teaching them the art of medieval music.

Asbo-lute beginners the follow up to "Life on mars and Ashes to Ashes" coming to BBC Bilge +2

The series is set in 1981 but Ashes To Ashes was a hit in 1980.

It's our licence fee, why can't the Beeb get it right? Wild Is The Wind was from 1981, they should have called it that. :D

Given the rather impressive launch of Messy Model Asia this week, perhaps there should be a show called "China Girl"? :D

I thought it was really good, I watched the last episode of life on Mars then put Ashes to Ashes on, the whole thing matches in I also love the idea, of the time scale being diffrent around Gene hunt, plus an old style Audi quatro!!! and the fact that the guy who got arrested in the boat, remembers her from the past.

regards

But at least the title - Life On Mars - was correct in so much that it was a hit in 1973.

The particular model of the Quatro in the programme is technically incorrect too. That version was later then 1981.

Some of use "anoraks" notice such things. Well, not so much the Quatro model - that was told to me by a friend. But I recall Ashes To Ashes being a hit in 1980 because that was the year I left school and it is kinda imprinted onto my memory.

The model of the Quattro with the 2.2 litre 10 valve MB engine used in Ashes to Ashes was not released until late 1982.

Sad I know to know that  but I'm a big "Petrolhead" as well as a Splosher :D
