Something I've been considering for a while is to let a few more of my friends know of my interest. At the moment, my best mate and my long time girlfriend know about it, and are absolutely fine with it, so it's something I'd like to be a little more open with, maybe describing it to some of my other closer friends as a bit of a laff.

So out of curiousity, for those of you who already have a lot of friends and family who know, how did they take it?

And to those who don't, would you ever consider telling them? How would you feel if they ended up finding out of their own accord?

I would say theres no need to tell them.... unless they regularly come to you with tales of whatever it they are into!

I wouldnt mind my family knowing but certainly wont be volunteering the information - if they find out, fine and they would be ok with it but dont see it as anything I would want to actually start a conversation about - same goes for friends

I chose 2 yrs ago to tell about 90% of friends and family what I do, as I was planning to start filming and doing sessions again. To be honest once they have got over the 'Oh my god' bit, nothing changes. Though I have not told my snotty cousins, as they would keep wanting to visit the shoots. So they have not been told. I only have two friends both female who dont like chatting about it. So I leave the subject alone when in their company.

Apart from that nothings changed. Expect I am in re-hab!!!!!!!! only kidding.

My mum found out when I was 11. I used to wear her clothes. She hated it but never stopped me forcibly. My dad just lived in denial and was too embarrassed, even when he caught me one day when he came home early and I was cooking up four pints of custard.

My wife knew about my WAM fetish right from the start when we would do it together, soon after we met and I asked her to participate. she loved it. Before kids....happy days (I love them really)

There was a bit of a problem after that but before we were married. She found a video of me dressed in all of her clothes, with full make up and a wig trashing everything. This time I was in stockings sussies skirt and blouse. The irony here was that it was SHE who was shit scared about me finding out she knew!! She sat me down and confronted me and thought I would "run away". I said said "Its me. Its what I do. Ever since I have more or less had my sessions uninterrupted. i usually now do it at night as my kids are getting older. I have a sploshing room, namely our detached garage. I get totally trashed and it takes a whole day to wash everything and clean up. i like to trash an outfit, normally girls stretch jeans and crossed dressed and change and start again over and over. I stayed up saturday night and finished at 8am Sunday. Its exhausting but no one ever calls, or rings or bothers me.

After many years, I told some very close friends about both my wam and my crossdressing for it. I already knew they were really open-minded so they didn't mind at all and were very supportive. In fact, they're happy for me to go round and dress up there. (Been over there tonight like that, in fact.) They know I go out into the remote countryside, dress up and wallow in the mud. They're not particularly interested but they're happy to be supportive about it, which is very nice of them.

I would not tell my friends or family. I would like to tell my wife about my thing with custard pies (which is only really a sexual turn on if I want it to be and if gloves are being worn by the woman who is dishing out the pies. complex huh? ) but she is not happy with my glove fetish, so I'm not going there yet.

Its the same for any fetish, friends don't need to know, if they find out then you will find a way with dealing with it, but don't go there if you don't have to it could cause a lot of pain.

I'd say the only person who needs to know is your Significant Other. If she/he doesn't approve, there's a problem.
Having said that, I did admit it once to a female friend. She was a stripper, so she understood about those things. (We were just friends; she was married!)

That's not been my experience at all, I'm completely open about it, my family know, my partner knows, my friends all know, my boss and many colleagues know, and I've never yet had a 'bad reaction' from anyone. Some think it's funny, some think it's a bit mad, by and large people are quite impressed that I manage to run a commercial website and have fun doing it.

Possibly it depends on your social circle - my friends are all in the Alternative / Goth scene, where non-standard relationship structures and being open about fetishes is fairly common, and I work in the Internet business, where things have always traditionally been very relaxed.

I find it hard pushed to meet someone who doesn't know, and the people who find out think its really interesting. However, a lot of those people assume it's more of a performance thing than a sexual fetish.

My mum makes the odd gag at the dinner table, putting my dessert on my seat while I'm at the bathroom then laughing but its all friendly banter.

My boyfriend doesn't share the fetish, but he does allow me to indulge in it with others, a nice compromise for him to make. I don't then question his many many gigabytes of pornography like some girls might.

Live and let live I say.

But I do understand some people have narrow-minded folk around them and couldn't divulge. I'm just more of an open book than some.

Very true, made me think about when I was into S&M I was alot more open (and it helped me open up as well) with the people in the scene about my fetishes and feelings.

Yeah, he never has, I've been with him over 2 years and its never caused a problem. I'm grateful for it at times because it means I splosh with a broad variety of people and he doesnt try and keep me and my messy antics to himself!

Well, it's nice that he's not jealous, at least!

I prefer a non sploshing partner Shocking I know, i mean i might not get to have messy sex (with men) but it does take away that jealous factor. He also takes great pics of me sploshing without ending the session early to get in himself!
