Muddy bike rides

At least once a week I try to go out for a bike ride and get totally smothered in mud. This weekend was no different and I ended up rolling around in a couple of fields, sitting, wallowing and humping piles of mud. As it's quite cold at the moment I found a good trick to warm up is to pee in my lycra gear. Nice!!

This happens local to me near Reading if anyone's interested... ;o)

Indeed - I find it a useful way to disguise wamming in muddy fields. Last year, I took to my crossdressing out there too, as there are few things as fantastic as dropping loads of really smooth sloppy mud into multiple pairs of tights (imho), once I'd found somewhere secluded to change, anyway! Mind you, I nearly got caught out on one occasion, which was a bit scary! The advantage is that you then change back into the cycle gear which then looks averagely wet/muddy rather than ridiculously coated and it also makes it easier to drive home without causing too much havoc inside the car! (Protect the seats with plastic sheets.)

I haven't been out doing that since the autumn - there's no way I could survive in this weather as I've always felt the cold, to some extent (and I have to drive for about an hour to get to the place and the days are just too short!)

Roll on the spring!

Hi Claymore

I had my 3rd muddy bike ride of the year today, and again got smothered. All this rain, plus the fact one of the local farmers has had his tractor out churning up the field and paths made for a wonderful after noon. At one point I saw a woman and her 2 kids cycle past a 2 foot deep mud pile. I'd chatted briefly to her about an hour before and she didn't take much notice of me being fairly mud splattered then so, just as she was about to go, I cycled through the mud, got predictably stick, and then even more predictably fell off and sat there up to my waist in mud. Ooooooooo!!!!!!!! It was lovely doing it for an audience.

The lady asked if I was ok but I didn't really have a decent coherent reply ready so just mumbled something about being a bit wet and muddy. Still, there's always next weekend eh?!

After, I struck lucky as I found a water main hose so I could clean up a bit (and get totally drenched) before getting home. It right by a stables so next time I'll be wallowing around in mud and gawds knows what else!!! I can hardly wait :D

I like the idea of this, lots of potential with apdations to equipment, could be lots of fun, with a slapstick element, especially with a large group of people that would be up for a laugh, and a few four wheel vehicles, abnd a few large muddle puddles. :D

Yes, I use my bike to go sploshing and do recces for new places to mudlark - and get pretty muddy and wet in the process. These days, no one looks twice at a mud-splattered mountain biker - not that I worry to much about that, but it's sure beats walking several miles to get to the nice spots.

Talking about winter sploshing, last week I had the opportunity to go out for a splosh-about and visited a place I found on a recent recce (the tide was up, so the marshes were out). I was quite toasty while clothed and hot from getting there, but once in, the mud was bloody freezing!! The mud was very thick and quite deep (up to my waist) and I soon realised my legs were burning with the cold - why did I think it would be a good idea to do it in January?? Also, while the mud was not very stinky in the freezing cold, I realised it certainly was when I warmed it up on the way home and later on indoors. Roll on the summer!
