A Golden Age?

Am I alone in the belief that we are in a 'Golden Age' of sploshing at the moment? No longer do we need to cower in our rooms getting messy in secret. We can now come out without (mostly) risking ridicule from our friends and families. Several lively forums and chatrooms exist where almost anything regarding messiness may be openly discussed and there is a plethora of websites available to suit every possible taste.
Of course we owe a tremendous debt to the early pioneers (I was going to mention Bill there but won't in case he gets big-headed!) but I think that this happy state of affairs is largely due to the advent of the internet and of digital cameras (no more taking the films to the chemist to be developed

).
I sincerely hope that this trend continues and doesn't wane like other fashions. As you know, my other interest is naturism and this seems to follow a cyclical fashion and is now in a decline after being very popular a few years ago. I hope that doesn't happen with sploshing.

I think a lot of it is also down to the media coverage over the past 2 years or so, from Graham Norton to Bizarre and many more.... its something more and more people are beginning to understand. Not my mother, however, but thats just how that has to be I suppose.

We need more role models in that area, I mean when I was a kid watching those types of programmes you had people like David Attenborough, David Bellamy in their prime almost. There was even Johnny Morris ( latterly with Terry nutkins ) before them.
Although Micheala Strachen peaked my interest a few years back on the Really Wild Show !
But I do agree with your original point, to an extent. I think it is certainly a big cross over in food play and BDSM circles. So it's a case of reaching a new but already kinky audience !

I remember seeing her gunged on that show when I was a teenager. ISTR they slid down a ramp thing into a pool of goo, but I only saw it the once or twice.

I neve come across any other splosh forums apart from a couple of very small groups on yahoo groups which never had many members at all.
By the way considering that TV programmes like Get Your Own Back and Noels House Party were so big back in the early 1990s it is a wonder that it has taken so long for the sploshing scene to become mainstream.
I am involved in the pick up scene too and that was very underground aswell until the publication of the book The Game in 2005.

easy_as_,
I think you may be confusing naturism and naturalism. Whilst I applaud the people who are interested in the preservation of wildlife, I think I must be more specific and use the American term for naturists which is nudists. Perhaps I will be able to explain more at the meet tomorrow.

Hi
I applaud the openness about sploshing/WAM and many of the websites connected with it. I am also glad that it features on TV and in magazines occasionally as this helps spread the message.
As for the quantity of material and being fashionable, my guess is that if, like naturism (great joke BTW, Easy As, ho-ho how we laughed!), it wanes in popularity all that will happen is all the hangers on and chancers will sod off and do something else whilst the diehard people who have been there all along will stick with it. We've had one 'cull' when he internet wiped out a lot of people selling video tapes and I'm sure there will be another when those who do it for the money realise there isn't any. But those dedicated to the cause will carry on...(other circumstances permitting).
Incidentally, Bill has been talking a lot recently to the local BDSM community (that Nadine again!) about trying to get sploshing into the club scene as requested by some of them with mixed results. Venues are a problem. Those it might be possible to start up a local BDSM/splosh munch. We will let you know.

I would say, lend it to Bill he needs it! But (if it's really cheesy) I suspect he probably wrote it!
