The idea of these meets are for people from the WAM community to meet other fellow wammers and old and new. It’s a top excuse to sink lots of beer, discuss all thing wet and messy, plan future events and generally get to know each other a little better in real life. Also a great place to offer your services, Buy and sell wam stuff and have fun ! But don’t worry we don’t always talk about wam, - a lot of other general chitter-chatter goes on to, so feel free to talk about anything you like.
The Penderels Oak is nice and big. It has 2 large bars; one on the street level as you enter and another basement bar downstairs.
We will be located as near the main entrance to the pub as we can be ( and by being so near the main doors also means anyone who smokes can pop out for a a fag and not be a million miles away from the main group ) . . . . . as you enter the main door there are some leather sofas directly ahead and we aim to be in that area so we will easy to spot. The pub serves a very good selection of Ales, Wine, Beers, Spirits, alcopops and cocktails. They do a good range of soft drinks and they do pub grub and offers too (Tuesday night is also steak night! Steak meal and a drink for around £6)
This pub has a late license so it does not close till 1am meaning more flexibility on when you want to leave.
<B>FINDING THE LONDON MEET GROUP</B>
Because the pub is large it's important to find the right group quickly so look out for easy_as_ wearing his famous shirt ( which believe it or not blends in well with the pub !!!!!
So look carefully LOL ! )

Anyone and everyone who wants to come is invited, so come along ! ! !
The London Meet is open to all, we have had many people come long and far to be at the London Meet.
Maddy and Piesplatter, for example, knocked Dolly off the top spot and are the people who have clocked up the most miles to be with us. But not forgetting great efforts on a regular basis by Wamedeus, 123gunge, Leon, Big Dave and everyone esle from long and far.
Wonder who else will join our new leaderboard.
<B>LONDON AGAIN! WHY</B>
Meets happen in London because it suits wammers living in or near London but it also suits people coming from the NW, NE, SE and even SW of England. Some like to make a trip of it, others like to do shopping and make a day of it, London is an easy place to commute to with great transport links.
The ' London Meet ' is fairly well established now and have a regular core group of people who attend. it would make no sense to go from a town to another organising get-togethers in other places.
However, the great news is these days lots more action is happening outside London, such as Leeds and Warrington ( See Warrington post for current meet up details ), so currently you have 3 active “Meets” to choose from. Other areas are planning ' meets ' too, look out for your nearest gathering !!!! Or organize one !!!!
