What are YOUR tips for other Sploshers?

I think it'd be nice to have a thread with everyone's recommendations of what to do and what not to do.....
For instance (I'll start) I have never been into the mud aspect of WAM. But I have recently found a terrific mud hole on my property and have decided to start experimenting with it.
Well today (just got back), I managed to clear out a very nice area of sticks and branches and began wiggling in deeper. Well deeper is a relative term.... the whole actually is only 2ft deep so I actually have to lay in it rather than wade in it, but back to my story....
I down down and laid in till the mud was up to my neck which is where I planned on stopping. Well once in there, I just HAD to go all the way. Before I left I had gone as far as dunking my head deep in the wonderful mud.
So here is where my tip comes:
Always bring ear-plugs!!! Even if you think your will keep the mud below your neck, bring and wear ear-plugs!
I already feel the beginnings of an ear-infection because I decided to go crazy. But it had never occurred to me (until after) that I would need earplugs to protect myself.

Ok so that is my advice.... what else is out there? IT doesn't need to relate just to mud. It can be wam recipes, clean-up tips, things not to do, etc etc
