Early Sploshing

I am sure that many of us are aware and appreciate Bill's ground breaking work on Splosh magazine all those years ago but I wonder if anyone has done any research on the history of WAM activities.
I was pleased to see the pictures posted a month or so ago by Clown Julie of the circus fun - 60's - 70's maybe?
Last Saturday in the Times there was an article and a few b/w pictures from a film - Chaos and Creation - Salvador Dali made in 1941 with Philippe Halsman.
Philppe's daughter is quoted: 'There was a motorcycle in the picture, which was meant to be having an orgasm and spewed chocolate syrup and pop corn at a girl. That was meant to be the creation part. You can see chocolate all over her, in her hair and everywhere..then he had 3 pigs and a piglet involved in the film too. Don't ask me what they were doing. That was Dali for you.'
So that's a 1941 reference.
Anyone help with earlier references?
