Just been browsing through some random cuttings from the Telegraph (as you do) and found this article about the Edinburgh Festival from August 2003.
The crumpet factor is not always present on the fringe. But this year it is available in spades courtesy of Amanda Waring, actress daughter of the late Dorothy Tutin.
The possessor of a very sweet tooth, Waring has devised her own one-woman comedy with music, For The Love Of Chocolate.
Nightly at the Assembly Rooms in her final scene, Waring, clad only in a negligee, smears herself and a painting canvas with chocolate. At the end theatregoers are invited to lick the canvas. Waring dissapears for a shower.
Didn't see this one on the telly.

That reminds me, I must have another trip to the Edinburgh festival. I was last there in 1999 & must say it was great fun. There is so much going on that it is impossible to see everything so it pays to do a bit of research.
Here is a link to Amanda Waring's website with several references to the chocolate show.
