Tomorrow the Old Town in Hastings holds Jack O' the Green (known to me as Jack Off O' the Green), a festival of morris men. Thankfully they are three miles from here. I have written a morris dancing slapstick sketch but the Old Town doesn't like you messing up their maypole etc. I'm not getting my stick out and waving it in public for anyone.

I have on many occasions ended up with a messy maypole and it's never done me any harm.
