WISH ME LUCK, MY FELLOW MESSY TRAVELLERS!

What ho, chaps!
On Sunday I am running in the London Marathon. I'm running for a local charity called the Gower Bird Hospital. I keep having to raise money for them because my bloody cat keeps sending casualties their way. But that's beside the point...
I was wondering if you all would be up for a little flutter. You see, I'm aiming for a time of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Now, if I come in under that time I make a clean getaway, as it were, but if not...well, it's over to you. What would you have me do for a forfeit (is that how it's spelt?) if I come in slower than 3:45? Make some suggestions and if I fail in my mighty quest I'll do my very best to fulfill one of them and post the pictures here (don't worry, Hayley, I'll make sure they're smaller this time!).
My form to date is as follows: my personal best in the London Marathon so far is 3hrs, 51mins. But my bestest best so far was in Cardiff in 2005 when I finished in 3hrs, 33mins. London tends to be a slower run than Cardiff because of the sheer numbers of people competing, so I reckon the best odds I can give myself here is 50/50.
So, any ideas? Over to you guys...

Well, very good luck anyway.

My mate Tasha (local letting agent and Splosh! fan!) did the Hastings Half Marathon and wound up in hospital with a wrecked knee so I hope you fare better.

I'll leave the forfeit up to others but don't worry about the picture size. We have a new gadget now that automatically reduces big pictures to large thumbnails so they form quickly on screen but can still be seen full size by being clicked on.

And I approve of the charity - though not of your cat attacking birds in the first place. Sorry, Bill Oddie moment there

Believe me, Bill, I don't approve of what she gets up to either, but she's a law unto herself.
I'm off to London in the morn and won't be back until Tuesday or Wednesday so I'm looking forward to seeing people's suggestions. It's strange, but half of me hopes I do really wel but the other half hopes I'm just a little bit slow. Ah well, we'll see.
Tara for a bit!

Struth! Now that's conjured up an image. Is there anything you would like to be basted in Hayley?

Oooooh now you're asking....

Goose fat, gravy, horseradish sauce with maybe a large carrot stuffed up my bottom!

I'M BACK!!! So, how did I do? I finished in 3 hours 43 minutes and 59 seconds. It was indeed a very very hot day, especially when you've got 26 miles to run. In fact, it was the hottest marathon I've ever done - but also, curiously, the least painful. Yep, I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that I was absolutely fine at the end. In fact, I felt as high as a kite and as soon as I'd crossed the line and got my medal I went straight off to a restaurant with all my pals to celebrate with an enormous bowl of pasta and an ice cream! So, thank you to everyone who wished me well.
So anyway, no forfeit for me, which is a damn shame. Actually, if there had been any suggestions waiting for me I would have done one of them anyway, regardless of my time. So, if anyone still has any ideas...

Surely that depends on who's chasing you!
