THE TISWAS CAGE!

PostPosted: 25 Mar 2007, 18:35

I just noticed on the Tiswas Online site that they're advertising for 10 people to go into 'The Cage' and be subject to pies and mess throughout the durarion of the reunion show. You have to put your name forward and say why you should go in there.

I for one would love to see Silly Gilly or DD in there being pelted with pies!

C'mon Gilly/DD - I think you should put your names forward!!!!! He, he!

I was going to ask where do we sign up, but then I thought I'll just go and find out. Turns out its at http://reunited.tiswasonline.com/cage.php.

Wierdly there are age-range and other requirements, doesnt sound very Tiswas.

Entrants must be between 18-50 years of age, with no bad medical history. The judge's decision is final. Data sent from this form is sent to the TiswasOnline team, ITV plc and the Tiswas Reunited producer.

I'm too old!

They call it Tiswas Reunited but cos I'm old enough to have been in the cage first time round (and I have stood in it - albeit dry) , I'm too old now!

Fucking health and safety - or something.

I think we should build a cage and use at the splosh studio's.

I just bit the bullet and signed up for this too. I have no idea how I'd react if asked to go. I'll deal with that if it happens though lol.

Imagine though if the cage was entirely full of people from here? Surely that'd be the ultimate meet up?

God it would be great if DD managed to get on the show (& in the cage)!!

Oh to be flanned on TV!!

My guess is that most of the people applying from the Tiswas online site will be blokes. Hopefully the shows producers will try and balance things out and get some ladies in there as well, so I think she has a good chance (thats even before they discover her fantastic personality!)

And come on Gilly, Clown Julie, Clare Rose etc... it would be fab to see you in the cage as well!

But it does sound very 21st Century television production. It's all about insurance costs and risk assessment forms. Sorry about that, but ITV made me put it in! It's ironic that most of the Tiswas stars wouldn't fit in that age range :)

Anyway, the applications finish on Saturday, and we've had plenty of valid applications already, confirmed by ITV.

I'm not a WAMmer, but we spotted about 3 or 4 blatant applications from people (not all from here, I hasten to add). I don't think those will be getting through!

We were getting a lot of male applications, but I helped bring a vague balance by notifying some of my female online (and real-life) friends about it.

We're not asking for fetishists, although I guess it was inevitable that two popular WAM forums linked to the page. The main thing is to celebrate Tiswas for what it was, anarchic comedy that had messiness as its trademark, not as a show staple.

I was waiting for this, ITV deny that Tiswas was had an sexual element to what so ever. So the fact that Sally James use to wear garters on a section every week from the armed forced never happened then?????

Legs and co getting gunged and looking very messy etc. This did nothing for the male and bi population who like wet and messy then?????? I'm sure people tuned in purely for the cartoons and adverts!!!!!!!

I thought they would nock people back due to the nature of the sites. They only have to look and see semi nudity and thats it time for a Mary Whitehouse moment. Anyway hey ho was to be expected.

I say Dolly, Gilly, Josie, Miss Helen, Mandy, should do a stage rush and gunge Chris Tarrant, THIS WHAT THEY REALLY WANT!!!!

regards

Andy

(Hmmm wonder who dared send an e-mail plugging a site!!!! feel free itv to visit www.wamdrogony.co.uk. if you have the time ITV and man from Tiswas site.)

SO.... you're saying I'll be denied a place because i'm a member of this forum?

Im a slapstick comedy performer, in no way should this affect my application. Do ITV really think i'll try and hump everyone in the cage purely cos some mess is thrown at me.

I'm a performance artist, as well as a higher level drama student and a lover of kids TV.

I'm not trying to say TISWAS was sexual... I was too young to see it.

I'm well up for it, I'm not a "model" here, i'm an enthusiast.

I'm actually also genuinely upset that I wouldnt get through on the basis of being interested in Splosh.

DD x
