I've located what not only appears to be an amazing hotel in itself, but apparantly has the added bonus that the owners are not fetish-unfriendly - oh, and they have a usable pillory too, they tell me, at which they're happy to serve breakfast (eggs being raw, naturally...)!
I'm not going to post the details here, as the last thing I think either they (or we, in their position) would want is to be bombarded with speculative emails, but it seems on the face of it to be ideal for overnight or weekend meetups, in that it's set in extensive and private grounds, is small enough to offer a friendly venue, has both a bar and a real sauna - oh, AND is amazingly affordable too...
It gets better - the bedrooms look great (not your bog-standard chain stuff here), and locationwise it's also good for lots of people - very roughly around ninety minutes drive from both Derby and Reading (I'll blame Google maps if that turns out to be wrong!) - so suitable for a wide area, not just us Southerners...
The best rooms / suites are booked a few months in advance (not unexpectedly), so once I've found someone to accompany me (any takers for a free jacuzzi under the stars, followed by a four-poster bed??) I'm going to book a 'test-drive' - and I'll report back...
Oh - if my visit goes well, I'll bring up the subject of Splosh with them in more detail, and see what their reaction is... it's been a long time (as far as I know!) since a Splosh weekend meet took place (and yes, I do remember the early ones!).
Possible Splosh friendly weekend / overnight venue....

Possible Splosh friendly weekend / overnight venue....
It wasn't that long ago that I'd punch someone in the face when they pissed me off; now I just delete them from Facebook - that'll show the mother-fuckers...

Sounds like just the kind of place an aristocratic lady and her entourage might want to spend the night!
