Hi all,

I've just found a video of Banarama singing Waterloo (the Abba song). Don't get your hopes up though, since the WAM content is tiny - almost not worth bothering.

It's one of those frustrating videos where you find yourself groaning ... because all the ingredients for an awesome WAM scene are there, but they just don't go the whole hog.

You've got:

1. The three girls of Bananarama dressed as brides
2. A banquet table - including bottles of champagne and a towering cake
3. Food getting thrown back and forth

Sounds great, right? Unfortunately, the only food throwing happens in the last 10% of the video, and the girls mostly throw dry bread rolls and small pieces of cake! There are a few pies, but in the typical pop video style, they are are fleeting-microsecond-glimpses. You do get a quick shot of one of the girls being pied, so maybe it's worth watching to see that.

Really, I'm posting this link not as a great WAM scene, but just for those who might be interested in seeing it ...

Shame really had so much as well

I met Bananarama once. Well, two of them anyway. Which I guess makes them not so much Bananarama as just Banana. They seemed very aloof, I have to say.

That's understandable, Welshcakes.

I've heard that Rama is the only sociable one in the band. Banana are up their own arses.

On the subject of... does anyone have the pie fight between Bananarama and Lanananeeneenoonoo (French, Saunders, Kathy Burke) from comic releif 1 recorded anywhere?
