theres a lovely burst water main in North london, crouch end, its right in the middle of a grass section so should be lovely and soggy, deep mud too
anyone wanna come play tonight?

I've always wanted that to happen...a water main or general construction to flood my local park and necessitate the need for a mudpit. Ironically, that's also my biggest fear growing up...that a water main woudl burst and my parents woudl come home early, leaving me without a way to clean up and no explanation for the mud and food covered me and bathroom

i got there about 1am and there was a couple of guys fixing to shut off the water flow,
called Alicia but ithink she was fast asleep by then, any way i drove around to a few nearby fountains etc to see whats what just kill some time till they went
the two work guys at the hole went about 2 am

where the water had been shut off the hole was empty of water, which was good cos it was about 7 -8 foot deep, there were severel tiers of muddy sloshy muddy clay to play in
most of the deep pockets were only about a foot deep, plenty deep enough to get really muddy
sitting in it was great,
took a quick pic when i got home, it was pretty warm in the mud,

as i left i think the water was trying to get back up, have to see tomorrow

LMAO thinking about that. You always see children in American TV shows dancing around burst fire hydrants at the height of summer -- I can see you running towards it and pushing them all away so you can have it to yourself!

be great if there are any other north london wammers that can dash out to catch some mud or wet at night

They're not burst actually, in some places, inner cities and the like, older kids will get wrenches and turn them on/open them up themselves. Other times the local FD will come around and open one here or there either as a test or as a goodwill thing on hot days.

Since Hayley is a 20-a-day woman, my guess is that she'd be delighted if that happened! Not sure about everyone else though.
