off topic - Google Adsense

I know quite a few people who visit this forum have websites of their own.

This post is really to those with sites .. and more importantly, to those whose sites have Google Adsense.

My questions ...

Roughly how many visitors do you get to your site daily?

What does that equate to in terms of revenue from the ads?

Is it REALLY possible to make worthwhile amounts of money from Google Adsense?

Hope someone can help

Phantom

A close friend of mine runs the sites www.skyscrapernews.com and www.skyscrapercity.com.

Now he makes hundreds a month from google adsense, but it is a high profile site with 4500 odd visitors per day, with around 30,000 page hits.

he says it's very worth while to him, but I suppose it really depends on the website.

I'll ask him for more specifics later.

hope that vaguely helps... like i say i'll ask more.

DD.

okay so far this month he's made over £600 for it and thoroughly recommends it to anyone with a website with a good rate of visitors. Even if it isn't the magnitude he has, it's still a good earner.

Thanks very much for the information, DD. That certainly is helpful.

Sadly, my little site is trundling along at 130 visits daily (roughly), sometimes soaring to the giddy heights of 200+ on good days. But even if that only equates to 10 quid a month, it's worth it.

I think I'll give it a go once I can free up some time to redo the site's layout.

Cheers

Not being funny, Andy - but my site is related to my work ... with children. So I try to keep my work and my messy hobby very very separate!!

But thanks very much for the offer. I appreciate the kind thought.
