Wellies and Rainwear

Postby custardwellies » 09 Jan 2007, 09:28

Hi longtime lurker here but do enjoy reading these forums daily, does anybody here like to dress up in rainwear and wellies then go for a long muddy walk or foodfight.

I think it is a brilliant feeling of being all protected from the elements although I would not say no to a pie pushed in my face while dressed up!

One of my neighbours walks her dogs everyday whatever the weather smugly dressed in her long wax jacket and hunter wellies I have always wanted to creep up and push a pie in her face to see her reaction, that would be fun!

Does many people here own wellies? it is good fun with having a food fight! my wife has filled her wellies indoors with trifle and loved the experience she even wants to do it again!

Hope to hear some of your stories please.

Hi

It's no secret that I love PVC rainwear and have a collection of macs in various colours for both wearing in the rain and sploshing. I also have several pairs of wellies though I must admit to prefering fashion boots for the real world!

For me it isn't the protective nature of the fabric that makes it exciting, more the brightness and shinyness of it before it gets covered. It also feels amazingly slippery when it is. And, of course, goo poured inside stays in place and squishes around, especially in a nicely tightly belted mac.

Being a townie, mud isn't in plentiful supply but wearing a bright shiny mac on a wet winter's day cheers me up and a good few others (my customers seem to like it - God, that makes me sound like a hooker!). Never really got into waxed cotton (not bright enough and the feel isn't as good - not to mention those horrid cord collars!) but when it comes to PVC (or, of course, rubber!), I'm with you all the way.

Hayley,

Thanks for your response, Wow cannot believe you have macs and wellies! What sort of wellies do you have?

I live out in the sticks and can walk 30 seconds down the lane to find very muddy fields especially with all the rain lately! Fortunately for me my wife has a horse which needs mucking out daily so we are always wellied up and she wears pvc waterproofs pretty much everyday until March/April.

Regards,

Darren.

Not being as rural as you, my wellies aren't the expensive sort. I have several brightly coloured ones (red, yellow, shiny green) and some black rubber ones which are more the Hunter type (along with black rubber riding boots I bought from a local stable). I don't like the patterned ones. Too bloody twee.

I think we need to see some pics of your missus in her wet weather gear - or mucking out the horses! It would cheer me up!

Hi!

I totally love wellies for sploshing - for walking into mud, keeping my feet dry till I finally kneel / sit down in it, for wading into water, especially that delicious moment when it's almost reached the brim and you know your next step forward is going to flood them, and for filling with gunge, soaking the trouser-legs tucked into them while everything still looks dry from outside.

Miss Pink recently did a photoshoot where she started off by very carefully filling a pair of bright pink wellies with custard, there are some sample pics on the foum here: http://www.splosh.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=15377#15377, and more on the preview page of the site, http://wench.gungemaster.com/samples/. There's also a set on the site (gm-2f02) where Lady Jasmine has the same pink wellies filled to overflowing with custard while she's weaing them, bare-legged with a knee-length uniform skirt and blouse outfit. A clean shot of Lady-J just before the filling started, you can see how the space at the front of her legs is just begging to have something messy poured in! :D

Would anyone be interested in seeing a photoshoot with waterproof clothes and wellies? I've toyed with asking one of the ladies to wear a rainproof PVC suit and wellies, either over jeans and t-shirt or over a swimsuit, and do some serious gunge-filling, but didn't know how much appeal such a set might have. Any takers?

Hi Custardwellies

Some time ago we shot a stills session called Mac Attack for Gilly's Silly House at www.gillysillyhouse.com. If you join you can still download it.

However we'd love an excuse to make a video version with more messy ingredients if anyone would be interested. We'll even give them wellies!

Bill

Bill, any chance of Ann Marie Dixon returning to the Silly House ? She's made a few wonderful contributions so I'd love to see some more clips of her, particularly with Sammy Jane :D
