a friend of mine tells a story about when she was told she had to do the ballerina and being christmas was not that keen (it's a long way back to the warm caravan in the winter)
But like the classic circus trooper she said she would do it
they were in the rehersal (dry run) when one of the profesional dancers said my friend was no good at ballet and she should do any ballet in the show it was not until later that she realised what she had put herslf forward for :)

Hehe! Love that story. Got all the "snooty girl gets her comeuppance" elements that work for me!

I ought to try the ballerina look - I have the comedy long thin wobbly Bambi legs for it!

Thanks Julie,

A pleasant reminder of happier times. Circuses just haven't been the same since the onset of political correctness. Thank goodness there are people like you and Charlie to redress the balance!

I watched Cirque du Soleil on TV the other night; wonderful hi-tech presentation and very impressive skills from the mostly Chinese acrobats. The clown troupe did some funny and entertaining routines but the performance was lacking something :( . I believe it's called 'SLOSH'!!!!!!!

 Perhaps you could teach them Julie.

I, too, used to watch the circus on tv hoping there would be a female clown stooge, and remember well sketches like the ones shown - if not the same ones ! These seemed incredibly erotic at the time ( and they still do) but there was always a disappointment that the female stooges never got a complete sploshing like the other clowns, and I believed that to think of this happening was an impossible dream.

Of course, now Julie has redressed this- and some - as shown in the great photos here, for which she deserves all our greatest thanks.

I agree that Philis's story would make a great sketch.
