Unexpected Christmas cards !

Postby easy_as_ » 26 Dec 2006, 12:32

Which Christmas card did you get that was totally unexpected ?

Or if you had a few unexpected ones, which was the most unexpected ?

:D

I got a card from a neighbour in the street I have only spoken to once when I had just moved in 6 months ago,
I had spent 10 mins trying to find their dearly beloved cat . . . . the cat incidentally turned up safe and sound the next day !

Well, they seem like a nice family, it was out of the blue though !

It fair melted my Scrooges heart !

Maybe they've changed ? ! LOL !

I also meant to include unexpected ' e-cards ' in the original question as well.
How impersonal they are !
I am quite glad my friends and family haven't resorted to that yet, although the B'day and Xmas / NYE texts are hideously in use regularly enough !

:D

We've had much the same this year - there's a neighbour up the road we've never spoken to (we moved to the street about 6 months ago), and they sent us a Christmas card. I have no idea how they knew our names

My biggest bugbear are those photocopied 'newsletters' from families boasting about how well their children are doing and how Nigel "has got that well deserved promotion at long last...etc etc". Apart from anything else, the people write them in a weird form of English that is more like a Play School presenter than a grown-up. Put baby photos in as well and that's it - they go on the fire!
