SLAPSTICK
This is one of our classic vintage image sets.
We have a 196 shots image set S024 which was shot November 1983 in the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool.
The emphasis is on the ‘S’ as we feature a fascinating Slapstick image set.
The definition of ‘epoch making’ is that it is ‘likely to have a significant effect on a particular period of time’.
Well I believe that this set was truly epoch making!
We took two very inexperienced models, a lithe brunette Rachel and a contrasting feisty blonde Shirley.
Set S024 is titled ‘Classic Chocolate Sauce Play’.
So WSM went where few had ventured as could you really expect two pretty girls to get totally messy with chocolate sauce?
Well, yes you could and you see no less than 196 shots in glorious illustration!
We owe the full detail of this set to our good friends at Aquantics (who can be found at http://www.artaqua.co.uk) who originally purchased this set, but most kindly made all the images available to WSM. Their link has a treasure trove of great WAM material.
It was too early in 1983 for video, but we did what pioneers do, just got on with it and tried our best.
Being inexperienced as models and photographer, the photos maybe look a little wooden but do represent a fantastic achievement in getting the WSM (and later WAM) scene underway.
So do not wonder how it all started as here it is before your eyes!
