A word of warning (or how it went wrong)

Postby messyalan » 03 Oct 2015, 20:02

As sort of pre-planned I got home on Friday to be directed to the shower. Fully dressed in my office clothes I stepped under the shower and got completely soaked. Then my wife produced my new, cut anything, scissors and started to cut off my clothes. My jacket went first and whilst cutting my shirt sleeves I felt the blade touch my arm. A quick look revealed a large gash in my arm. Well, as you can imagine, the fun stopped there as my wife was distraught and felt sick. A large bandage seemed to do the trick although I won't be doing much activity with my arm for a few days.
The only upside was my trousers, belt, knickers, socks and shoes all survived for the next time. Not much of a consolation.
So my suggestion is maybe use slightly less dangerous tools next time!

Oh no... for what it's worth I've been there.
My partner sent me work in my favourite satin knickers under my work clothes. .
Once through the door, promptly a bowl of melted chocolate greeted me... led to the patio...to be tied to a chair..slipped on the floor, cracked my head, nothing mores serious than a nasty cut ... but boy did it spoil the moment. The next couple of sessions were more delicate...but the magic soon returned. .
Hope you recover soon, once you do... just remember you are owed a proper seeing to... a new suit..to wear once will soon make it a distant memory

Check out EMT Shears; they are used in Shibari and rope bondage. Oh and hospitals.

As you can imagine, the blade is angled away from the skin. I think my pair cost me around £3 from eBay.

Yikes! You have my sincere sympathies Alan. I once filleted my thumb with the lid of a baked-bean tin, it was very distressing.

I was going to recommend A&E scissors too, but jh81 beat me to it. They are a great boon to the safety-conscious clothes-ripper.

Hope you're better soon.

oh the perills of a Splosher. Nearly came a cropper slipping in the bath and doing a mischief! As a solo wammer, it would take some explaining to the fire crew, who would have to unlock the door. Hope your well on the mend and be careful with the tins, perhaps keeping tins away from slippy areas and emptying the contents into a plastic tub should become a wam regulation?!
