Decadent Doll comeback to raise money for Crohns!

Postby DecadentDoll » 24 Jul 2015, 21:41

Hello everyone :-) Long time no slime!

Been busy with two kids, writing a book, the occasional romp about in forest mud when i get the chance, and still missing Clive (Bill) deeply. <3

With his 2 year anniversary happening, I wanted to do something to pay back all the good he did for me. Someone on UMD asked about my pics and vids, and I thought it would be a great way to raise money for Crohns disease, and a good excuse to get me back into the sticky stuff!

So, I have a crowdfunder, with rewards, and even if I don't make it to the provisional target, I will do as much as I can with what I do get. Bill once paid for me to go to performing arts college, and I'd love to raise those fees and more.

How is everyone? :-) suggestions are welcome and heres the link to the page if you want to donate - even a quid will help!

Big loves, and here's an updated photo of 31 year old me - I was 21 first going to the studio!

Dolly this is wonderful! Such a good idea. I think you'll be supported by the hundreds of people who still have a big Bill Shipton shaped hole in their lives.

So glad to see you making a comeback. I'm going straight to your Crowdfunder. SO SHOULD EVERYONE WHO HAS READ THIS FAR.

If I can offer you practical or technical help as well I'm happy to do so.

Ohhhh thank you Richard, Squelch and the lovely maid marion ;-) I just think the man did so much for us all in making us feel normal, not alone, he made some really funny memorable work and he made me feel so good about myself. I need to do something for him, and I also do need an excuse to get horrifically messy!

Have given you a cheeky gooey custard to the bottom push up the sploshometer! Good luck reaching the target and doing something deliciously silly and fun in memory of a great chap and for a good cause.

The trigger-happy moderators at 'that other site' keep deleting DD's threads and I've noticed other posts have gone missing so I'm glad to see it intact here!

I sent a message to that forum after a few glasses of wine, and got some abuse back. So here I am!

You're welcome to post on ecgunge to promote this - not sure how many visit both sites.

If I can assist with making things happen do let me know - have gunge can probably travel!

hahaha yes the umd are a bit tighter than they were ten years ago, lots of security on selling, fair enough as people have been ripped off, but i thought for charity it would be ok!

people have been fab in getting me back my films and im happy to send them to anyone making a donation to the cause! x

Good to hear from you again DD. I wondered why you chose Crohn's as your charity. My new partner suffers with it, so I know it is a worthy cause.

So pleased to see your Splosh-o-meter rising!

Just out of perverse curiosity ... what sort of a mess does a Splosh star really crave after such a long sabbatical? What are you just dying to splash around in again?

Hi DD,

Our son has suffered with Crohns since he was 13 (he is now 36) and although under control (the disease not him!) it can still be debilitating.

Great cause .

I am a big Splosh fan so will go to your site now.
