Though the dungeon is well heated thanks to the inventivenes of Lady-J's great great grandfather, who both restored the Hall to it's Jacobean splendour, and installed the coal-fired central heating, it's hard not to shiver when the wind is howling round the chimneys and you can see nothing but snow-covered wilderness from the stairway windows.
