You realise you're gonna have to do this every year now

I would be delighted to do it every year! I'd certainly do it again but properly! The camera was new, the snow meant I couldn't get the ingredients I wanted (no gateaux at Tescos!) and the outfit arrived so late I wound up doing it in an evening rather than spending the day really enjoying myself as I would have preferred. So stick around till next year - or perhaps I could do a 12 Days of Easter!

In the meantime, I really hope to do more messy photos this year. Like a lot of people, I am losing my full-time job soon and only have the offer of part-time at the moment, so I should have more chance than 2010. And I would love to re-enact some of my ideas, fantasies and destroy more outfits. No, I'm not a becoming professional Splosh! model. I leave that to younger, prettier people. Besides, the appeal for me is getting messy in the way I like when I like, rather than having to turn something out every week. No disrespect to the girls that do that, on the contrary I am just a selfish cow who wants everything HER way! The good news though is that when I do little shoots like this, the most they will ever cost will be enough to cover expenses (my full set of gunge/maid pics shot a year and a half ago have only just achieved that!).

No, I want it to be fun - to always look forward to it. Despite the difficulties, I loved doing this set, the dressing up, the feel of the material getting soggier and soggier, my hair completely clogged with porridge and pudding. The cake sitting (despite not being the sumptuous cream gateau I wanted) felt fab cos my knickers were still wet inside with the custard from Days 5 & 6 so the cake just added to the pleasure. And as for playing in all the leftover mess at the end...well, yes, that did go on for a lot longer than you saw, I'm afraid, even though it was about 3am (with work the next day!). To be honest, the only difficult part of this set for me has been having to see photos of myself every morning for nearly a fortnight putting the pictures up each day!!

So here's to a messier 2011 than 2010 was (for me, anyway). Just cos I like to pick and choose what I do doesn't mean I'm not open to ideas so feel free to contact me. You never know, it might be exactly what I fancy that day! But do bear in mind I am no performer or actress, just me (with a broad grin!).

I just wanted to add my twopennyworth to the other posters and say that not only do you look fab in the 12 days of sploshness, but you've always looked fab, and you have no need to worry about younger, prettier people, you are just lovely as you are!!!

I loved the outfit, although sometimes I'm sceptical about sploshing in PVC (being a PVC lover as well as a splosh lover) and it seems a shame to destroy a PVC item, the thing which struck me most and I know it has been mentioned by other posters is your smile in almost every picture - a lovely grin showing us how much you liked what you were doing.

Thanks again and I look forward to the 12 days of Easter, although, I've just realised I shall be in Spain, so if you do a set with Easter eggs (large brown ones with a little lion on them, as opposed to Cadburys chocolate), I'll just have to look forward to them on my return............
