There is, of course, an area of Birmingham called Shirley too. There used to be an Indian restaurant there called the Shirley Temple. True.

Bill, there still is a restaurant called Shirley Temple, but it is Chinese, lol.

Been watching the news of the flooding in Cumbria :shock:

. Before I retired & moved to Southampton I lived in Keswick and was in charge of a pharmacy in Cockermouth High street! I think my former house is above the water but the shop will be completely flooded.

I'm so glad I moved near to the sea to escape the water! :roll:

Have been working. It's thrown it down with rain most of the day here. Not as bad as in Cumbria though!
