Been struggling with mobility problems again last night & today but hoping the flare up will have died down by tomorrow. Either that or JoJo will have to give me a piggyback across Leeds! ;-)

Blimey - just been looking at the price of parking there - slap in the centre = £££. (Around £12 for 4 hours!!! I've obviously become spoiled by Warrington - £3.50 all day! Mind you, when we move the north-west one to Liverpool, I dare say that'll be pricey.) Found a car park about 500m away that's about half the price - hope the knees will take it. See you all tomorrow, all being well ! :-)

i wish you was going to bill hopefully we will get you up into Yorkshire one day

Yes, I quite agree with Maddie - get yer arse "oop North" Bill - our beer's much better than that "daaarn saaaaafffff" lol!

Many many years ago I shared a very small narrowboat called Ivan the Tolerable with a mate and we took it up the Leeds Liverpool canal from Birmingham and I stayed on it whilst he worked at Leeds' Radio Aire one weekend. And, of course, my first sploshing TV appearance was on the James Whale Show shot at the old Yorkshire TV studio opposite a pub called the Queens Hotel (not the big one in town). So I have been to Leeds in my shady past.

As for the beer, you are probably right, though Harveys of Lewes if very nice!

Come down here and try it, Jojo!

I was going to mention he cost of parking in Leeds when you were talking about the price of train tickets. Scandalous. Fortunately cheaper if staying at a hotel.

Got a small family emergency to sort out but hope to see you all around 4.

Well that was madly busy! Loads of people there in an already hectic pub. Once those tables could be swung round the other way, it certainly made things more comfortable anyway! Did Sploshman make it in the end? He hadn't arrived by the time MessyJoJo and I had left.

It was great to see such a good turnout, including core members from the north-west area who had come along to show some solidarity for its new sister region! LoL.

Anyway, well done to Maddie for bringing splunches back to the north-east region.

Thanks to Maddie and Donny for organising a great meet. Was great to see some of the northern contingent I've not chatted since the last Leeds meet (some people were in Birmingham but there were too many to talk to everyone properly). Really great to chat to Muckypup in person.
Yep Claymore the pub was madly busy I think all the pubs in Leeds were looks to be hen night and stag night central. Still the pub was easy to find and it was easy to acquire more seats. Chinese was a good call there was way more food than we could eat and yep Splosh man did make it to the meal.

Yes JoJo - I have to say that, having seen that performance, Wamadeus should be recommending you to the Royal Northern College of Music to take up the tuba! LoL ;-)
