Gosta Greens cinema next to the Sack of Potatoes became the Triangle Cinema. I remember watching Led Zeps Song Remains the same there one wet miserable Sunday afternoon.

Do you remember the General Woolfe pub ? It was just down the road from the Sacks towards the expressway.

Yes, I went there for a drink on the day of my interview to get into the Poly! However after that, like I said, I was a regular in the Black Horse.

Saw several films at Gosta Green but can't remember which - it was nearly 40 years ago!

As I am from Birmingham it would be rude for me not to attend, so I should be there too.
I want to get messy and muddy

Indeed, Bill - slower but a lot cheaper! In fact, if you were going there and back in one day, the special offer that they often have on for school half terms (which is valid at the moment) would have enabled you to do the round day trip for £15 ! (http://www.londonmidland.com/tickets-an ... at-escape/)

Come to think of it, if you want to come to us in our new improved venue at the Warrington Splunch again on Sat April 21st, returning on Sun, you could go London Midland return to Crewe for just £24.50 then change to Virgin to take you up to Warrington return for £18.60 which is a hell of a saving on the Virgin fare directly from Euston!

Hi

I am not expecting a rush in these straightened times but if anyone wants me to bring anything to Birmingham they'd like to buy e.g. DVDs, magazines, books, maybe even DVDs of DLs, drop me a PM here or write to bill@splosh.co.uk.

And Claymore much as I'd like to reacquaint myself with Warrington (including the Travelodge and its cute Labour-supporting female receptionist), since you insist on holding the spring one on or near my elderly Dad's birthday (90 this year!) that is sadly impossible. So it's Birmingham this time!

Bill

PS It's almost worth getting lost to be found (and then comforted) by you, Candy!
