Re: Easy Access North-west Meet (Warrington), Sat 17th Apr. 2010
Claymore, I can come but only for a couple of hours in the afternoon, from about 3.30 to 5.30 ish so dont bother with food for me
Re: Easy Access North-west Meet (Warrington), Sat 17th Apr. 2010
I'm going to try and get there, thought it will only be the same time as Mr Angry. As I'm shooting on the sunday. So I have work commitments.
So if I can make it, it will be 3-5 ish.
regards
Andy

Not sure how everyone is getting there but there is an awesome website that tells you the best places to park in any given place called parkopedia. The Warrington bit is http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/warrington/ hope it helps someone!

Ok - table for 6 is now booked for those staying for something to eat afterwards. We need to be leaving the pub by 7.30pm
Incidentally, I've just checked with the pub and they're serving food until 4 then from 6-8 if anyone fancies a nibble beforehand ("Ooooh matron!")
Also, the pub landlady has just told me that there's a MeatLoaf tribute on in the evening if anyone is interested in going back there afterwards. (I won't be ... in fact with the big project I've got on at the business at the moment, I shouldn't really be going at all but I'm not missing a Warrington Splunch! I'll have to go and do the work on Sunday instead!)
See you all soon.

Even though of us who have been to several of these feel slightly nervous at the start of each one, fuzzyduck, so don't worry too much. However, as you'll find, it's all very friendly and just 'an afternoon in the pub with like-minded people' so you'll soon get over that.
Ah - typical! The very OS map I wanted to bring to show someone a location is the one that's missing on my shelf! I'll have to bring along a less useful one for ID. (If anyone has the Chester Landranger (117) then please feel free to bring it!)
See you all later on.

The meet is still in progress but I had to lightweight out of it early! It was great to see some of the regular faces again, and to meet a load of sploshers and potentianl sploshers! There was even one special surprise guest. I won't say who it was in case they want to do that themselves! OK wiv U?
Lets hope the splosh dinner party gains some traction
Hope to see you all again soon, or at least in 6 months!

Ooooh - guaranteed to get a response, given our conversation about 'text speak'!

Well!! That was good wasn't it?!

Brilliant to see you all, some for the first time and some old faces too. As usual, we managed to spend most of the meeting laughing without *that* much discussion of sploshing but no matter - it was still great!
Pup - you missed out on a superb meal at the Tapas place. This time I went ready-prepared with pen and paper so we could make a list and we actually ended up not ordering just a variety of meatballs! Also, I have to say that the puddings there are stunning. Jo described the lemon chesecake as orgasmic and I have to agree! Carmen was tucking into the chocolate fudge cake and looked in pretty much that state too!
But it wasn't just the food that was delicious - one of the waitresses was wearing black hot-pants and shiny black opaque tights on fantastically long legs! She also had a gorgeous little arse that would have made a fab pie target!

Claymore, sorry I could'nt turn up yesterday, had problems with my car and as I only had a couple of hours or so it would have taken too long by train. Hope you had a good one
Re: Easy Access North-west Meet (Warrington), Sat 17th Apr. 2010
Thanks all at the splunch for a great afternoon and evening. I laughed so much that my face is aching today
Claymore is right, the hot chococolate fudge cake was a truly beautiful thing (a few morsels may have plopped onto my cleavage... okay I just imagined that bit). There were some great folks there for the first time too, really good to meet you all if you're reading this. See you next time but hopefully before.
