Well Gilly has a couple of nice doughy products that would be fun to play with :D

Nice to see you using deluxe Sainsburys custard Richard

It was Miss T who chose the custard so credit her with the good taste.

(I can't believe I wrote 'roll' instead of 'role'! The criticism is well deserved!)

What about when those sharp nipples were digging into me? :P .Anyway, the word is 'trouper', a trooper is a cavalry soldier!

muckypup, I think we should call a truce on the spelling and grammar front. I love our beautiful language and errors leap off the page when I see them. Many posters on this and other forums (latin fora) can be criticised for elementary mistakes, for example the misuse of there, their & they're and too, to & two. However, your expertise with computers leaves me standing! So can we say "each to his own" and I will try to contain myself? :)
No doubt Mike will still enjoy himself picking up my mistakes though and I appreciate his scholarly advice. :)

As somebody who started his journalistic career subbing on magazines, I am very conscious of the spelling and grammatical mistakes here and everywhere else (how many shop signs are grammatically correct these days?). At first I was tempted to correct them as you would when editing a magazine but decided against it cos a) it betters reflects the character of the sender if you leave them in and b) life's too short.

I think that criticising people for getting things like 'their' and 'they're' confused is probably going too far but I quite like the genuinely informative pedantry of the 'trooper'/'trouper' comment and others that have arisen in the past. So don't give up on it, Richard, just don't pick on every little thing. Andy's posts alone will mean you'd have a full-time job!
