I absolutely love Ivor the Engine. And not just because I'm Welsh, before you ask, but because it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Look, if you're all going to throw pies around would you mind throwing them at me!!!

[size=18]Hi folks, anyone remember Jamie and the Magic Torch, that was a pucker cartoon, as was Mr Ben. Although not a cartoon my ultimate favourite kids programme has to be Thomas the Tank Engine, there was always lots of mess in that as well, they crashed into snow and coal, got covered in soot and water and a few other mucky things, i know this is and off topic thread but hey lets add a bit of what we are all here for

Noggin the Nog was dead good, as was Bleep and Booster although they were more picture than cartoon.

I do think there is a certain something about the little mermaid and Mrs Incredible but Frilly just thinks that that is too wierd.
Kind regards, Spinynorman and Frilly

Still messing about after all these years!

My favourite cartoons:

Funniest ever - it has to be the Simpsons of course.

Closely followed by - Beavis and Butthead

(South Park has never made me even nearly smile)

Fond childhood memories of cartoons - the first Spiderman cartoon. I loved it so much!! (does whatever a spider can!)

Also - stuff like G-force / Battle of the Planets (princess .... ROAR!!!), the Space Sentinels, The Arabian Nights (shown during the Banana Splits Show).

If I'd been younger at the time, I'd probably have really loved Transformers and Thundercats too.

Even though I was too old for it, I really liked 'The Lost Cities of Gold'

Funniest short American cartoons? Wille E. Coyote and Foghorn Leghorn .... now what - I say what - in the name of Jesse James is goin' on here, boy?

How can you not like South Park? The film is brilliant especially the songs.

Bill has the CD of them and plays it all the time. Probably play "Shut your fucking face, Unclefucker" at his funeral!

I agree with you about the South Park film Hayley but i think Kyles Mum Is A Bitch or Blame Canada are wicked songs as well.

They are all good. I even had to go on the internet to find out who Brian Batano was (as in What would Brian Batano Do?). He's a gay American ice skater by the way.

Going back to the first post and Pixie & Dixie - Bill can do a fair Mr Jinx impression along with a frightening number of other cartoon characters including the Hair Bear who goes "Like we don't even fight..." during the sig of Help, It's the Hair Bear Bunch. No idea of his name, but I'm sure he knows.

I like Futurama too but really enjoy the old Tom and Jerry cartoons from the 1940/50"s when they where drawn properly.

Yeah I know - I think I'm maybe the only person I know who DOESN'T like South Park.

I tried to get into it. I watched 3 or 4 episodes. It just seemed to be badly drawn, badly animated and relying too much on swearing and being rude ... rather than actual real jokes.

Ok -on some level, swearing and being rude is funny. But it ain't enough for me.

I also don't understand why so many people rate Seinfeld so highly. It's okkaaaaayyyy .... something to watch if I'm really bored and there's nothing else on ..... again - I seem to be alone on that one. Everyone else I know raves about Seinfled.

You're not the only one Phantom. I don't get South Park neither.

Like you said, badly drawn, poor animation and just kids effing and blinding. I can't stand kids swearing in real life, so why would it be funny?

The only good thing they ever did was have Robert Smith in it. How many times can Kenny be killed before he actually dies...oh, I forgot, it's a cartoon - he can't die.

Angry Kid is good. Great animation and he doesn't swear, well not as foul mouthed as the South Park kids anyway.

Wallace & Gromit, Robbie The Reindeer...any of those Aardman plastercine animations are top.
